Mixed bag from him today. He could easily have been sent off but he did well for our first goal. He also made some driving runs but Fabinho stopped him in his tracks a few times.

Played like a leader (just like he did in his cameo in Madrid) but unfortunately these big games are getting a bit fast for him.

He was putting himself about and three years ago he’d have timed those challenges to perfection but he’s just doing them too late now. And while he did try, some of his passing was woeful.

But he still lead the team and his applications to the game made sure we made a fist of it second half (like his fellow Brazilian, Jesus). Hats off to him at his age showing a load of lads in their mid-20s what they should be doing.

Played a leaders role yesterday. He gave everything he had and then put in 20-30 minutes on empty showing immense passion and pride. Might have stood a better chance if everybody had put in the effort he did. Some parts of his game he was brilliant, some parts were anything but brilliant. That's where we are at now at this stage of his career. Felt he struggled early to get upto speed with the game but actually grew into it and got better until he was done. Worth mentioning both he and Bernardo were essentially a 2 playing against a 3 for the entire match, they both put in one hell of a shift. Overall had a positive performance in a game where we couldn't have made it anymore difficult for him.

He is impossible to criticise,he will never give less than 100% and he never goes hiding.Unfortunately time has ensured that his current 100% is only about 80% of his levels during his peak, and sadly that just doesn't cut it anymore when playing on the biggest stage.

This was a season too far for him and, just like our refusal to bring in a striker, our lack of an alternative has contributed to us stumbling to the finish line.

His decline is to be expected. I still thought the 10 mins at Atletico were superb from him. He won the ball, kept it and led the team well.

The worrying thing is Rodri has really looked off it with his passing in the past month or two and we are in real danger of Pep needing or deciding to drop him for a wildcard move again out of desperation. Rodri has to start every game now really because Ferny just isn't an option unless he has someone next to him helping him out.

When you look at our deeper central options there is a distinct lack of pace and we are crying out for someone like Bellingham who could boss the midfield in a box to box role and make Rodri's life so much easier.

Thought he was very good today. If he was a decade younger he would be both the perfect 6 and a perfect 8 for Pep. We've already moved on, we have to but whenever he comes on the pitch he reminds us all what we miss from not having him in our side. Such a unique player that will hopefully get the recognition from all football fans that he so richly deserves once he's gone and rivals find it easier to appreciate. Loved seeing the Watford players shit out of going for the ball when they saw dinho coming in for a big slide tackle.

Awful as a fullback but can not be blamed as he was asked to play in that position. What happened was predictable and I was fearing the worst when Stone got subbed off.

The guy gave everything despite playing in a completely alien position at the age of 78 and deserves some praise. On the ball he was very very good, always on the front foot and helped with the attack, basically made the foden goal entirely on his own. Caught out for their second but we all knew that would happen, I'm asking questions with regards to where Rodri was as cover, his lack of mobility was exposed there but more than that, I'm asking where the fuck Dias was, complete no man's land that left a chasm in behind. Admirable job, even if you want to blame an Fernandinho for being 37 in the lead up to the goal, he's more than made up for it with his assist beforehand.

Went from prime Cafu to old Maicon in the space of two minutes. To be fair, he did a lot better than I feared he would when he came on but I was pretty shocked he didn't clear Vinicius out for that second goal. He tried the same approach, got outsmarted and then let his man go and I think that last part is the least Fernandinho thing ever.

Didn't want to risk and injury to one of Brazil's best players in a world cup year lol.

Well done and thank you for mucking in for the team. Yeah, we lost a goal to it but christ, he was channelling Elano at RB 2bh and we still won the game.

It wasn’t lack of pace that was the issue with their goal, it was that he got too close and took his eye off the ball. No one was catching Vinicius after that happened, at least not from Fernandinhos position. It had to be a defender coming across but Laporte couldn’t go early enough.
