He is an enigma. On his day, unplayable. His consistency is what bothers me. That goes for attack and defending. He stole the show and got us into another final which is great. Still would not play him over phil, Jack or Bernie.

Hopefully he finishes the season strong. Will be needed. He is appreciated with a small but…

Can't be many players who score a hat-trick at Wembley and then sit on the bench for the next game , which is only a compliment to the strength in depth of our squad ,but Mahrez will play a massive part in our remaining games

Mahrez and Bernardo offer different qualities. We definitely have depth on the right wing in what seems to becoming our settled formation.

He will but there was one moment when he came on that illustrated perhaps why he didn’t play tonight. He very stupidly gave up possession when we are 3-1 up and then his effort to get back was pitiful. The fact he didn’t start just shows how good our squad is when we are firing.
 
If he wins the CL with City this year, he should seriously contemplate a summer transfer to get more playing time in another club. He has only two more years (at most) left in his elite career and has to make most of it if he is willing to make the efforts.
 
His pass to Julian leading up to the pen was superb, won back the ball several times and got the assist for the winner. Could have had a couple more assists had Gundo and Haaland capitalized on his passes. Fatigue got the better of him in second half.
 
If he told me it was Sunday, I would check a calendar. Can’t be trusted from one week to the next. Arguably his best game ever in a City shirt against Liverpool. Disappeared in the weeks after. Hat-trick in FA Cup semi. Disappeared today. This is the business end of the season and he is either great, or a complete passenger. We shouldn’t have to wonder from game to game whether he is going to bother his arse or not. I’d have Foden or Bernie in front of him every time.
 
Did his job, and certainly far from the worst player in the team today (Ederson), but having seen him hit the heights recently, it is easy to be disappointed when he doesn’t affect the game more.
 
Grealish and Ederson being in top form, Akanji looking great. Becoming a real bastard finding a scapegoat, suppose Mahrez will have to be the standby despite not playing badly.
 
Thought he was quite poor, especially second half when we started to struggle a bit. Tends to go missing when that happens. Frustrating as he is such a talented player.
