There's no doubt he'll have a great career with us, and in all objectivity, I can't think of many players in the world with his qualities. For the moment, he's nowhere near the level of a Gundogan, for example, but in terms of intrinsic qualities I find him just as technically gifted and much quicker. The question now is whether he'll develop them for us. Since the Football World Club Championship, I've seen him smile on the pitch, which is a sign that he's acclimatizing.
I'm convinced he's going to dazzle us, but maybe not this year.

I know it was only Huddersfiel but i thought he made a difference when he came on.
We were laboured until then but his direct running and passing caused them problems.

I like what he brings to us and, not sure he's going to get it, he could do with a run in the side.
 
Very tidy game. The lad's got skill. In a fifty-fifty, he's always going to be knocked off the ball. That's just the package I'm afraid. We had that with Riyad Mahrez, and he definitely made his contribution over the years.
 
Hope he rides this up and up, he should know how good he is, and is showing that more and more with every chance.

I think he is a better #10 than in a deeper position, I didnt realize he had that eye for a "pass out of nowhere" that kevin has.
 
Peculiar one. There is some extraordinary talent in there, but I’m not sure where we can play him to get the best out of him. Not had someone that can motor with the ball like that since Toure left, and he seems to have a sixth sense for when there is space behind him to turn into. Just doesn’t quite have the weight for the vertical through ball or he’d be unstoppable.
 
Best performance so far this season . But he drifted out of the game yet again at times ? He is definitely getting there ever so slowly and still needs to strengthen up physically.
Deffo getting there though and he even smiled tonight !

He has these wow moments in games but he also disappears for long periods. I’m not sure you want this in the middle of the park, certainly not against a team that is any good.
 
Great run and cross for the first goal.

Not many players can do that but he still has lots of things to improve.

Could be a very good player for us.
 
Very athletic, but this ain't the Olympics, needs to have better end product. He reminds me of Cancelo, overplaying unnecessarily, trying flicks and tricks in tight situations. The gambler is twice the player.
 
Predicted he would have a good game even before he had made the lineup, the space was always going to be there for him to exploit and he did it well.

All of his best attributes lend themselves to being better suited right now on the wing though. His powerful running being the biggest plus to the side. I just don't see him playing central in many games right now though. Hes not imposing enough as he is still finding his way.

pep should be doing what he did with Bernardo. Let him feel his way into the side on the wing where theres less responsibility then once he's settled, playing central can be explored. Brings something different to the side, hope to see him more.
