What the hell would you have him do? The tactics by whomever coach works on our set pieces should be fired and ultimately left Ederson out to dry. Arsenal probably couldn't believe their luck when we let Martinelli and whoever walked in completely unimpeded to block off Ederson's ability to move. We've watched them do this same schtick for years. Not to mention the God-awful defending by Walker and Doku of Gabriel.

He got the free kick from the first one, the second was identical apart from Gabriel scored.
I honestly can’t believe that nobody has made a big deal of this. The two corners were identical with Ederson being blocked by the same player.
The header that went over got called as a foul. The header they scored was allowed to stand.

The second wasn’t a foul. If we’re being honest there were multiple mistakes for that goal and no one covered themselves in glory. Especially 5 mins after a huge warning! Walker was non existent and Ederson/Dias/Akanji should have been way more assertive and ensured they to stopped him being blocked again.

Walker lost his man for the goal, that was the main thing. He was more intent on trying to poke Gabriel than stay tight to him. Basically should never allowed him to get in front.

However surely Ederson could have been more aggressive. A keep is 99.9% of the time not going to concede a penalty if he just flattens everyone. I thought after the first corner he'd fucking charge out and if he gets blocked he probably gets a free kick for showing desire to get to the ball and being restrained.

Tough one for the keeper but Walker needed to protect him better.

P.S Gabriel has a face I just wanted to smash to pieces the ****.

I hate how opponents almost every game can do immense conversion rate from their chances. at times it feels if they can get 3 shots on target thats 2-3 goals.
first Arsenal shot of the game= goal.
first Brentford attack in minute 1 = goal.
first attack/shot of Ipswich = goal.
first attack/shot of WHU = goal. (which was deflected off of Dias from a cross lol)

its a fucking theme somehow.

dont think Ederson cannot do better in at least some of these.

Well the set piece coach needs to coach it into players! Whoever our set coach is he has been shocking and not worth having him
