OK... Maybe welbeck is a bit far but he's a player that looks OK in our system.
I always think a true world beater makes a poor team look good.

If you put Phil into the Villa side then he would look ordinary.
Th complete opposite for me. Put him in any side where he’s not expected to stick to a certain role rigidly and you see one of the best players in the league strutting their stuff.
It’s the fact he plays for Pep that takes away some of his individual brilliance in sacrifice to the greater good of the team.

Agree 100%

Hopefully, Southgate coming out and saying Phil not playing centrally for City so he won't be for England will be the catalyst that starts the transition for Pep. I'm doubtful but one can hope.

Only came on as a sub, but was noticeably rusty and we dropped off when we subbed off Grealish for him.

Preferable that Pep starts integrating him into midfield, if its his future position we shouldn't be waiting THIS long to integrate him there.

Didn't do much when he came on but then we didn't really get the ball to him either. He does need to start running games now when he does start instead of producing great moments. All the talent is there, but at the moments he seems like he's trotting along.
