He will be because he has a manager who demands the highest standards and is not scared to put him and anyone else for that matter in their place.

I am not sure what the issue is here, in the managers eye he feels Foden made a crucial error and it looks like he was punished for it, I call that superb man management but each to their own.
When did I claim I had a problem with Pep's management of Foden?

Doesn't matter, my point was why would Pep make the team worse only to prove a point to Foden ? Not logical and Pep is logical surely.
I'll preface this by saying I think Phil is the better option at LW for us. But taking Phil off for Grealish at that point doesn't necessarily make us a worse team. Phil has had less conditioning with a limited preseason and hasn't had the same amount of time to gel with Haaland.

Phil is a real left winger and the best - while Grealish is a left winger in name only.

I will say it is a tactical change to give Grealish a try in the left half space and central role in the 2nd half. Foden played a real left winger role in the 1st half.

Currently Gundo started in the left half space behind the striker but given his age and injury history, Pep is training Grealish to be the standby option.

IMO people made too much fuss about a HT sub.

People are only moaning about it because they really wanted Haaland to score on his home debut and pretty much every game he plays.

Foden‘s skillset is that of a CAM imo . I think he needs to play there to reach his full potential. Free roam + dribbling in tight spaces.

*no, he wasn’t.

That’s the position in which his highest levels have been achieved in senior football, so it’s therefore logical to consider it his best position. Unless Gareth Bale is still a leftback.
Its the position Pep has played him.....his more natural leanings are on the right or as a number 10.
