Thought he played well last night, some great short passes with Julian, they will trouble opponents with their intricate play in the build up this season, pretty frightening attacking threat alongside Doku, Grealish and Haaland.

Flatters to deceive sometimes, excels in spurts, has his magic moments then fizzles out of games, consistency is not there yet.

Will say though, he looks lightweight, easily muscled off the ball whereas Alvarez looks sturdy and fitter.

Alvarez definitely looks fitter.
