4k TVs

Remember someone showing off a 16k screen on a TV gadgets show a year or so back.
Said it looked almost 3D such was the detail.

With full fibre broadband on the way (up to 1gb at the moment but Belgium are dropping 10gb lines…and they’re creating standards for 50gb (and beyond), tech is going to look even more spectacular in the coming years (full wall screens anyone?).
I pre ordered that 8K TV when it first came out at £2k and it got pushed back so I cancelled, couldn’t believe it when I saw it @ 670 and I had to get it.

I’m made up with it to the point I might get another one to replace my 4K (it’s the very first Samsung 4K TV that came out and only does HDR8, cost me over £4K too). I could maybe have stretched to a LG OLED but thought I’ll future proof it with the 8K.

Have an XBox Series X attached to the 8K in the boys room and a XBox series S attached to the 4K downstairs. The difference is night and day in Forza which I play 5 mins on, on both of them. The 8K looks like a video and the 4K looks like a game basically.

How are you getting 120fps on a TV that has a maximum of 50hz?

Because it’s not 50 it’s 60, I read something to do with us and uk specs but I couldn’t get clarification before I bought it.

But it is 60 @ 8K therefore 120hz at 4K. The XBox wouldn’t let you select 120Hz if the TV couldn’t do it, and I can confirm it does.

Check the reviews, not just me, low latency makes this a great TV for gaming at 4K @ 120hz.

I did look at the 996 which does 8k @ 120hz but there is nothing even close to be able to push that and I don’t think hdmi 2.1 can anyway.

Nothing beats Oled. IMHO

Natural looking Blacks. Beautiful natural looking pictures. Even now i am still in awe with our Oled.Football looks so much more realistic.

Sure they cost a bit more.

You get to immerse yourself better in dark scenes, they look way more realistic.

And before someone says image retention is still an issue. No it isn't.

New Oleds have all sorts built in to prevent image retention.

I currently have a Sony Oled, Which in reality is an LG Oled Panel with Sony picture technology.

If like me you are a bit of a TV Tard, Go and look at an Oled, if you have never seen one in action before you buy,See night time pictures, and you will be hooked i guarantee.
