I thought that he should have played up front (Haaland's role). And Alvarez should have played in Midfield (KDB's role). I think they'd have both done better like that.

Presents as thinking “I’m not quite good enough to play for this team” imo.

Shows flashes of “it” but then appears to retreat into his shell again. Doesn’t show enough “personality” or want the ball enough, imo.

Would benefit from a year at Burnley. Would play more games and under Vinny they’re a very decent “footballing side”.

He definitely has the ability to make it here, you can see it clearly, how he manipulates the ball, how he moves. And Pep wouldn't be wasting his time with him if he didn't.

But he doesn't look any better than in his first few appearances, which is worrying for his future prospects. Could have been a big season for him, hasn't taken his chance.

I doubt Vinny would play Palmer as he is nowhere near hard working enough, and he wouldn't play at Benson's expense. A decent Championship club is Cole's best hope because he's just not kicking on here and the kid needs to realise this whilst he can. I think his last chance to shine is against Sheff United. If he doesn't then i can't see him being here next season.

Regardless of progress, his languid style will always split opinion, and personally, I'm still undecided.

Yesterday was no different, but Guardiola appears to have more faith than many Bluemoon regulars, so we'll just have to wait and see how it all unfolds.

To be fair you have to be an exceptional young player to even get on our bench , Palmer is a decent player and would do a job at most Premier league clubs but he will never progress playing a couple of games a season and playing ten minutes here and there. It did work for Foden but he was a freak in my opinion just a naturally gifted footballer who will prove to be the best English player since the likes of Gascoigne in his pomp.
Palmer needs games , and unlike Phil needs a loan to hone his skills , he has shown glimpses of quality now he needs to do it every week at another club , then bring him back and let Pep knock the rough edges off him and we could have a really excellent footballer in a couple of seasons and another academy success.

You can see why the Club decided to keep him with us this season, as he’s clearly very talented - but the approach of a few minutes here and there when games are already won clearly hasn’t worked for him, and hasn’t pushed his development on in any way.

As many have said already, the kid needs a decent loan.

When you look at how far McAtee, both Doyles and Harwood-Bellis have come this season, the value of playing regularly in games that actually matter is clear to see.

That’s exactly what Palmer needs - and it could be the making of him.

Would be great to see all 4 of them next season in the team. If Gundo, Bernardo and one CB leaves…

needs a loan to be constantly playing in the mahrez RW spot, so that he is ready when mahrez is shown the door in a season or two.

Has shown great potential, and Pep clearly sees something in him to give him minutes. Seems like he's in that phase of becoming acclimated to the premier league. But i can't help thinking that the next stage for him is to pay 90 minutes every week, and so a loan or a sale with a buy back feels like the best option right now to me.

Lot saying a loan, but dunno I don't think player will accept a step back like that after breaking into the first team set up. If he does go, it'll be a lavia Situation I would think, Permanent Sale with a reasonable buy back
