Those saying he should go to Burnley on loan haven't watched them this season. I doubt he'll be loaned out there because they have an excellent right winger called Manuel Benson who is good enough to play for us, IMO.

Palmer showed he can play left wing and behind a striker to! Teams coming up need bigger squads

The last two appearances have been very encouraging, Grealish is obvious first choice, along with Phil but Palmer is an excellent back-up, Phil and Cole can also play on the right. I think he will feature on Sunday and get more time on the pitch next season. Now is the time to get him really in the first team mix.

I think the lad has got what it takes to continue with us rather than go out on loan. Got an assist for the only goal against Chelsea and arguably should have had the winning assist vs Brighton. He had azpi and the Brighton right back on toast several times.

Have him starting in the cup games and off the bench in the prem and I think we will see more improvement.

Never played in a top European league and uncapped at 26 but you think he is good enough to play for us… interesting take.

Stefan Ortega had never played in a top league or been capped until he was 27 but he's fitting in quite nicely.

On Wednesday a 29 year old bowler in the IPL who'd never played with a proper cricket ball until he was 24 got 5 wickets for 5 runs off 21 balls.

Jamie Vardy didn't make his PL debut until 27.

I have no idea how good the Burnley winger is but age isn't everything!

I rate him but he’s competing against the likes of Grealish and Foden for a spot on the left wing.

A loan or permanent transfer (with a buy back clause) wouldn’t be the worst thing for his development.

Correct but Vardy is not City standard. Ortega is good but will never be our first choice keeper. Regardless, I’ll watch with interest next season.

I've seen about a dozen Burnley games this season, he's class. @FantasyIreland has also seen several games. What you think, FI?

Hes a talent, has bags of ability and can come up with a match winning moment. He tends to drift in and out of game though, and at 26 years old,im not convinced he'll ever have the consistency to be top class.

Burnley would rather take McAtee IMO,and sign THB on a permanent.

I do think Burnley would be a good move but in two minds whether we loan him out.

As much as playing is important he’s currently training day in day out with world class players and Pep…

Also I’d worry if we just shipped Palmer out and replaced his place with a Bibb/Borges but then had some injuries.

He’s been around the first team and played Prem football now. I’m hoping we develop him because he could be Mahrez long term replacement.
I think last year's loans to Burnley and Sheff Utd worked out well because both teams were at the top of the Championship. Both clubs probably would have been at the top without our loanees. Much easier to integrate into a winning team at a level below than a team that's up against it every week. Watching Cole over the last two games I think he would benefit like McAtee did with a Championship level loan.
