Considering no one other than KDB and Nunes can play through balls to our 60 goal striker.. a blind man could see Nunes winning that.
The problem is not Nunes.. it's the rest of the team playing.. Sideways, sideways, sideways, back, sideways, back, sideways, sideways, sideways!
Nunes is the only one who looks for Haaland and look what happens afterwards.. he gets benched!
Mcatee will probably go the sane way as all of he others that have moved in and become successful . We are so wrapped up in net spend and looking good that we have lost our teeth and what’s the point in being rich when we shit out of any bidding wars for players . Hopefully viana goes for it and is ruthless aswell because everyone sings the praises of our director but when you look at it since that season when Walker Eddie silva came in we have got Rodri Mahrez avarez Haaland gvadiol ( who may be class ) Dias in probably 12 windows which is not great .
I know it's tempting to take players not in the team and put them on a pedestal, but having seen him a fair amount, I'm very sure that McAtee isn't the answer to our current issues.
He genuinely talented, but doesn't offer anything that we don't already have in the team.
Personally I reckon he'll do well if he gets to a James Maddison sort of level.

Feel bad for him to be honest. He deserved a proper chance during this spell.

Mcatee was one of the reasons we drew against Feyenoord. It is not easy for the boy to play every 10 minutes in a month, like Palmer did in the past. At the time, people on here accused Cole for not good enough. The performance was not good, and that might be the end of his career under Pep unfortunately. But I’d at least give him some more minutes or a few starts in this moment to see if he can do something. We are already bad enough, and I don’t think we would do that worse with him starting. We need something fresh in the midfield area. Same to O’Reilly or Wright.

It is not easy for the boy to play every 10 minutes in a month, like Palmer did in the past. At the time, people on here accused Cole for not good enough. The majority reason why City have conceded so many goals in the last 10 matches, is we have no commanding defensive midfielder.
Kovatic has been sorely missed.
Gundogan has never successfully played in that role and currently doesn't have the pace to get out of difficult situations.
We knew Kova was going to be out fur a longish spell, but Pep doesn't seem to have worked out a solution.
McAtee deserves a chance as KDB and Bernie are not playing well or are knackered.
He needs to play at home, so give him a start on Sunday...
