Can't help but wonder how good an England attack of Haaland, Kane, Rashford, Saka and Foden would be. If his Father had stayed in England for a few more years than he did once Erling was born I think that could have been a reality.
He'd have been shit mate - The English press would have been outside his house since he was 16 and pressuring Southgate to start him

What i love about Haaland is his hunger and attitude , world class is used far too many times , but this lad is genuine world class , in fact the best striker in the world at the moment , and the best i have seen in 50 odd years.

he is without doubt a fkin grade A superstar..!
Yeah he is, i'm just continually amazed really!

The way he plays and scores goals, as a centre forward, just looks different to me.
I've been watching us and football for 50 years and this lad looks to have it all.

It's like when i watched one of the legends really, you just know they are different, know they are special. This lad feels like that to me.

A footballing world icon at only 22 years old and he fucking loves it at Manchester City . Just let that sink in ! :)

Can the Norwegian national coach please not break him during the international break. Ta

For about two days yeah.

If he had any ambitions of winning the Premier League, signing a contract extension with Spurs was a phenomenally stupid thing to do and I don't think any competent agent would have let it happen. Imagine Raiola or Mendes letting one of the best players in the world rot at Spurs for his whole career!
Easy to say with the benefit of hindsight but he penned that deal after they’d made it to a Champions League final and looked to be building something. They sold him a dream with the new stadium, etc and how he could become a Spurs icon if he won something with them.

Also have to remember that these guys have short careers and can suffer career-ending injuries at any point. He was offered more money on a long-term deal which gave him security so I don’t blame him for signing the extension when he did. He was also allegedly promised that he could leave - which Levy reneged on.

He definitely could’ve done more to force a move though but I’m very glad that he didn’t

His second goal is why I prefer Foden on the left. If it's Grealish running on to De Bruyne's pass I don't think we score because he probably cuts inside instead of playing a first time pass with his weaker foot and the chance is gone. That's not meant as a criticism of Jack, we just don't score as many of those types of goals now because we play with inverted wingers and a lot of players aren't as good with their weaker foot. We have some success on the right when KDB overlaps but not as much on the left since we lost Sane and later Silva.

In theory, Haaland being left footed should make it easier for him to score via passes/crosses from the left because he would have a more natural shooting angle so Foden on the left makes even more sense. I'm not saying the position should be exclusively his because Grealish has been playing really well and Pep will want different things from his wingers depending on the opposition but I do think we would create even more chances and more high percentage chances for Haaland with Phil there.

I think it will soon be Foden and Grealish alternating sides, before Kev eventually makes way for both also sharing midfield duties.

He is simply a freak of nature, in every sense of the phrase.
As scary as it sounds, he is rapidly improving his overall game. For example, today, he was getting involved and running back into midfield areas, participating in some one-twos, and dragging defenders forward, more so than before. That's on top of the rest, and the rest is sublime. Speed, strength, knowing when to make his runs, deadly finishing, etc.

Give him a 10-year deal ASAP, whatever he wants.

It’s great to see you on the forum, Alfie!

His positional sense is amazing and something you can't teach. Great to see him more involved in the games and no coincidence a return to Kdb at his best is benefitting Erling.

He will break Messi's record of 73 club goals in a season & 91 goals in a calendar year.

Won't be this season or 2023, but it'll happen.

He's simply the best goalscorer I've ever seen.
