Absent season ticket holders?

This tread is bollocks. If a season ticket holder makes the commitment to buy a ST in May and then doesn't turn up thats upto them. If people are having a moan, go buy a ST in May.

It really pisses me off that they have a moan about ST's not turning up without knowing the reasons. I'm in the family stand with my child. I chose not to bring my son on Saturday due to the weather. We are on Level 2 and there are never many empty seat there.

I also do not agree with the comments from those wanting rid of the Family Stand or moving the stand. The Family stand is for people like myself who wants to take their children in a relatively safe environment with like minded people and not have our kids experience the more vocal elements as experienced in other stands. It is also relatively priced for us. Also the Family stand is for the future generations of City supporters

Just out of interest - why did you not take your son ?

The weather - he is 4 years old and I didn't think it was where he needed to be. I was freezing.

You made the right decision. It was fucking miserable on Saturday. It wasn't only freezing cold, it was completely boring too.

These threads are started by people with very different life situations to you, I think, mate.

Many empty seats in areas of east stand are because fans are buying seats, then walking to the corners next to away fans and standing with their mates.
This isn't in huge numbers but many are doing this.
The clubs response was to start checking everyone's cards on the 111/110/109 entrances

The solution is to introduce safe standing and making it an option for friends to stand with each other.
String me up, guv! I confess! Got a ticket in 111. Spoke to two Swiss guys next to me, who'd never been to a game before. Asked the couple behind if they were 'standers' or 'sitters' and was disappointed to hear their reply. When the ref blew for kick-off, everyone to my left sat down, but those to the right remained standing. Did a quick shuffle along and stood with a load of proper Blues. Apologies for leaving an empty seat. I'll bring an extra coat to throw over it, next time.

These threads never fail to amuse me. Although I'm always undecided which posts I like the most. The one's demanding to know why people didnt turn up or those actually going to the trouble of explaining why they didnt. I think probably the latter as I am one of those people.

Agreed you know it would be easier to have a drop down menu of moan posts and a prize for the best reply

I think not making my 4 yr old freeze to his early death is an front runner for a winning post
