Adam Johnson = Huge Potential
Does he have anything to learn??.Of course he does...Like pass the ball to David Silva on sat and it's 1-0 against Brum...went for Glory...understandable but inexperienced...Milner did the same thing second half...We have a number of very good young prospects who need to buckle down and do what the boss is asking them.Would he be a starter in a Mourhino side for example??...not a chance.
Do the work first adam and the success will follow.

I agree that he has a lot to learn, but with regards to Mourinho, AJ is no different than Di Maria.

fuck him. he isn't being driven to another club! the sniveling little woman is whining to the press to get his ego stroked and in the process he's feeding the media's spin against Mancini.

SELL THE PUNK. He'll be seen for the lackluster, over-hyped, under-achieving, arrogant twat he's already proven himself to be.

and he won't be missed. he'll be kicking himself this time next year
Sturidge all over again.

crap on Milner all you like, but stats don't lie

No they don't, but they also don't tell the full story.

I don't agree with what Johnson said, and i think he should give his head a wobble, but he is far from being a bad player, so why so many now want to make him out to be is a bit daft, and like most comments posted on here, short sighted.

Hes daft because hes spouting to the press-hes been at the club 5 minuites

Having said all that, it is the Sun and it all could very well be absolute bollocks!!!

Another day, another deluge of reports in the British Press which seek to report to the Public that all is not well in the land of City. Balotelli is leaving in the summer, AJ is thinking about quitting. It goes on and on. There is no conspiracy here it just sells papers with attention grabbing headlines. As supporters we need to learn how to ignore it, and the club need to manage it better. Perhaps taking the Baconface approach where he takes no prisoners with the press.

...isn't there a thread bout how all these daft journo n' media shite shouldn't be entertained ! ? !

Sturridge left when his contract expired.

This is a real low blow from Johnson.

It is not condusive to anything, bar his own selfish agenda and ego.

There has been a noticeable change in this young man in the last few months.

I am an admirer of his talents and potential, even making a comparison with Giggs in particular traits.

However, I watched on Saturday as he accused team-mates of making mistakes, whilst acknowledging his own.

The gestures. The idiotic sniping celebrations towards Mancini, when he does get on the scoresheet.

Just two days ago, he attempted to drive a further wedge, citing City fans demanding he get on against United, and how gratifying it was.

Yet, aside from wonderful goals against Newcastle Juve, he has done jack shit.

His imput has been minimal. If he thinks it is difficult now fighting for his place, wait until we start winning things and buying better players.

He is symptomatic of everything which is wrong with the English perception of so-called world class players.

If he's English, and can do the fundamentals, he's the second coming.

His quotes about Mancini's mindset, however simplistic it may look to others, is rooted in jibe.

No wonder the war has not been won, when the battle is still being drawn out.

Johnson should be careful who he thinks he will alienate.

So that's your 15th cancer at the club, Tolm.

Maybe, just maybe there is a tumour needs removing.

Tick tock

Maybe, although it's the same recurring infections, rather than new ones.

Stand by your beds.

Yes, if he has been as blatant, as made out by the sun, that he is 'considering his options' (The article below seems more believable)

But to suggest he isn't a good player is just wrong. We know he has talent, and we know he needs time to develop, but he isn't a bad player, so people saying so are making emontionally fueled judgements which are incorrect.

Hes daft because hes spouting to the press-hes been at the club 5 minuites

How many assists has he had?

the answer to this question says it all.

crap on Milner all you like, but stats don't lie

I understand everyone's frustration they want to see a player running at the defence someone who causes havoc to the back 4, what people don't understand is that David Silva can do exactly that but unfortunately the way Mancini plays he wants us to play like Arsenal not Tottenham or United, but fast flowing passing football the only thing that is missing is the fast flowing that isn't due to a certain player not playing but simply because our team don't know how to play together you can clearly see it during games, where a ball will be played behind Boateng and he is looking for it to be played in front of him same applies for Milner, players don't know when to pass to each others runs and they won't till the same team has enough playing time together.

I know this excuse is used a lot but its only because we constantly change managers/teams/backroom staff so realistically we haven't had a squad that knew how to play together since Pearce, our teams don't gel which lead to fans getting frustrated which leads to constant criticism of certain players and the manager which leads to added pressure to the manager which leads to the Board wondering if they chose the right man, people don't understand how much of an added affect fans have on a club but if 40,000 fans are booing and jeering when things don't go as planned it does have an effect not only on the players and manager but the board as well.
