Its entirely up to him really, would he rather be a squad play at a club going places and not bother trying to improve his game top get into the first team or would he rather go to a club outside the top 5 where he is guaranteed first team?

Personally I think this is what's wrong with most young English players they just have no fight in them, at least Hart, Lescott and Richards upped their game and fought for first team football...

he does have fight though. He just wants first team action, which he will get at other clubs. how anyone can have a go at a player for wanting to play more is beyond me

Does he? I can't see it. His constant petulant reactions though are a highlight feature and it annoys me to great deal that he be a lot better than what he is if only he raised his fitness level to degree where he can have an impact most of the game & not just 20 minutes of it.

Personally I feel nothing but frustration with AJ technically he is a very gifted footballer.
Sadly I was brought up watching wingers attacking full backs and I genuinely feel AJ has that in his locker but to often goes backward or plays the safe pass.

The time has passed now where I would be genuinely gutted if he left. Hopefully he turns it around at city and makes me eat my words.

He needs to ask himself this question.

Why did James Milner play on the right hand side in the bigger games. eg at away at OT

because milner is more defensively minded, which subdued the threat of the united fullbacks and wingers, whilst providing cover for our right back. Also milner was our in form player then.

Although not a big fan of AJ myself, doing that is probably following orders from Mancini

I'm sure there are more instances, but how many times has mancini had to question AJ?

Hearing that Milner is more defensive minded than AJ

In actual fact the reason why he appears to be like this is due to the fact he works much harder and is alot fitter. Interesting stats below from last season

Minutes Played
Milner 1579
AJ 1137

Assists
Milner 5
AJ 2

Crosses
Milner 81
AJ 59

Minutes per tackle
Milner 39
AJ 87

some ITK (haha) on Twitter has posted this

Adam Johnsen has handed in transfer request as i said a month ago and im told West Ham have already made a 12m offer for him.

It'd be believable if he could spell his name

I'm not AJs biggest fan but there seems to be something missing here..............goals ?

Really hope we dont let AJ go and sign Sinclair, thats a downgrade and a half in my book, i think AJ's got great ability, far more about him than ruddy Sinclar!

I agree that letting AJ go and bringing in Sinclair seems like a downgrade. However, what is clear is that Mancini doesn't rate AJ and that being so it seems likely that he will be sold. Johnson reminds of Stephen Ireland in some ways - talented but doesn't impose his ability on the game enough. Although capable of some real quality moments he is often on the periphery of the game. I am not sure Sinclair has the same quality at all and it could be a mistake letting AJ go.
