He plays well off the bench but when given the opportunity to start he goes missing to often. I do find it funny he claims that he can't be expected to perform well every few games. If you can't appreciate being a squad player at this current environment with an exceptional squad of players then the only place for you is at a lesser abled club. AJ will join Sunderland, will play every week but won't play champions league football again.... unless someone buys him in a few years!
AJ is serious talent, but I do question his hunger....some for reason he come across like he's content with where he is now. I dont see a desire to nail a place and change the managers mind. I think if he goes to Sunderland he will stay there for a long ime and just turn up every now and then against big clubs and go missing against the smaller clubs

If he was content with where he is now, he wouldn't be looking for a move. The lad wants to play, and I respect him for that. If Mancini doesn't think he's good enough then it's best for all concerned if he moves on. I really rate the lad, so I'd be disappointed to see him leave, but I'd warn those who don't rate him to be prepared for some clips of AJ at his best when he gets a run of games under his belt.

Rather he doesn't go. Best winger in the Premiership with possible exception of hazard

I can understand he wants to play. His attitude annoys me because he could achieve a lot more if he got his head down. He made more appearances than Ashley Young, he just has to make himself undroppable when he plays

???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

He must be on a wind up, all of uniteds wingers are better, Bale, Lennon, Walcott etc all better. Johnsons been awful for more than a year now if we can get 12 mill+ wee would have done well.

Not long now...

Martin O'Neill is striving to bring Adam Johnson to Sunderland after his chairman, Ellis Short, agreed to finance a deal for the Manchester City winger.

After Roberto Mancini, City's manager, reluctantly decided to allow the 25-year-old to leave the Etihad Stadium, a £10m price was set which is understood to have been met by five clubs. Johnson, who has recently been the subject of interest from Everton and Newcastle United, is believed to have turned two of those teams down but has not rejected Sunderland.

The only question I have from that is if five clubs met the £10million asking price so fast, perhaps we should have set his value closer to £15million?

It's like a fucking wind-up, isn't it?

We must be the worst selling club ever, hopefully Soriano will sort this shit out.

We should have set the bar at 20mil and let clubs work up to that figure, fucking madness.
