Additional time

Have they just given up on the rugby tackles in the box from corners now?
They never did get that sorted so they've moved onto another batch of "rules/laws" instead.
All same old hot air spouting from the authorities to make themselves look like they doing a good job with our national sport again
Good point. Yesterday Stones had a great chance from a corner but his header was too close to Ramsdale who saved it. However, THREE of our players besides Stones were being held, arms around them. Nobody even commented; any of them should have been a penalty

Wasn't that to put us 3-2 up in added time?
I thought it was to put us 2-0 up and ended drawing 2-2 in the end moura with their equaliser

Sorry just checked yeah Jesus with the disallowed goal.

Like any new rule, there will be a rash of early games affected by it, with 100 min+ games common for the first few weeks and managers getting more cards than Leo DiCaprio on Valentines day.

Then the Redtops will bang on if the Dippers or Rags lose a game because of it, there will be some backstage 'talks' and by October, we'll be back to 5-6 minutes added time again.

Note to PL/FA: You may need to move K.O. times from 20:00 to 19:45. Oh sorry, you won't be listening will you?

At Carlisle on Saturday watching Fleetwood, at the end of normal time 11 minutes was added. As many Carlisle players kept going down several with cramp. I thought this game by no means a classic could go on till midnight, however the ref blew after 13 and a half minutes, think both sets of fans glad to get out, I know I was. Football is meant to be a 90 minute game time should only exceed 3 minutes add on in the most extreme circumstances, eg serious injury. Having said that we only won the league in 2012 with goals scored after 90 minutes which we had the most of that season.

The extra time added to the 8 mins on sunday I have no issue with as the injury caused that, I do wonder where the 8 minutes came from, but have been told that every booking, substitution, long free kick set up they add 30 seconds on a time, whether true or not fuck knows.

My main gripe is about Alvarez yellow card, the ball went out for a throwing, multi ball is no in operation so Julie kicks it out as a new ball was thrown near to the player taking the throwing, don't get how that can be deemed kicking the ball away and a yellow, gonna be a lot of bookings if genuinely knocking a ball out of play because multiball requires it is misenterpritated as time wasting

Most teams that come to our place will waste time at 0-0
What should happen if they do this and we score they shoulnt have the time they have wasted added on it should revert to the 3 or 4 they always put up

Agree this rule benefits the time wasters. When they are losing by a single goal.
Than again it benefits the team trying to play football if the game is level.

Take the villa game ( 3-2 ) villa had been tome wasting since the start. Went 2 up and still wasted time to frustrate us. City pulled it around ( thankfully ).
How would we have felt if villa were given 10 minutes or more added time ( awarding their time wasting ) and equalised ?
I personally would be well fucked off that the cheats had be rewarded.

Football could try something really radical and ref the game according to the rules. Book players that are time wasting even if it's in the first 5 minutes.
