Pretty sure kids are more arsed about Haaland banging in 50 goals a season than they are of what Simon Jordan et al say.
It's not particularly what Jordan says that damages us. It's the incessant barrage of comments on social media outlets that we are the cheating club who buy success and can't fill our stadium. The misinformation campaign that is put out there by stupid kids and daft young blokes I think does damage us.

I have young lads. They regularly say "Everyone hates City" and stuff.

I know it's kids' stuff but kids are the future.

Kids absolutely love City. Everywhere you go you see more and more of them wearing City shirts with Haaland and Grealish on the back.

They will all be pretty much addicted to playing FIFA with their mates and fight over who gets to be City because we’re the best team on there.

They’ll see us win doubles and trebles and scoring incredible goals.

All that is far more important to a kid than 115 charges about club finances or jokes on paddy power’s Twitter page about empty seats. In fact it’s not even that they don’t care - it’s an irrelevance to them.

And this is global. I don’t think kids in this country care about all that rubbish but kids in Asia, Africa, US etc etc will care even less. They just want to follow the best team and that’s city.

Please don’t take it the wrong way but I do think there’s a bit of little old city mentality in all this. We’re now box office. We’re the big boys and people don’t like it. Just the way it is.

Remember when we used to take the piss out of United for their atmosphere and all their fans being from London? Looking back, let’s be honest, it’s because they were the best and we had nothing else to throw at them.

Now they’re doing the same taking the piss about empty seats or no atmosphere? Seriously, boo fucking hoo!

It didn’t bother me when I saw us win the treble in Istanbul and it won’t bother if/when we do it again at Wembley.

Accusing @Didsbury Dave of lickle cityitis should be fun, I know he loves that.. :-)

How do you know it’s not?
City started its recruitment policy over 50 years ago with the Junior Blues concept.
I dont, thats why i asked the question. I remember the junior blues starting up, i think early 80s one of my lads joined, however nobody recruited him, it was like joining the cubs.

The club actively encouraged (in other words recruited) young kids to join the Junior Blues.

Haha.

I stand by my point. This is damaging our reputation and recruitment. I’m a junior football coach in Yorkshire and Liverpool are still attracting more kids than us. It’s difficult to quantify but this year it’s reached a peak and I want us to fight back.

rather amusingly you don’t appear to understand the word “recruitment”.
