Adebayor (Merged)

All those who care more about what Ade is wearing rather than what his state of mind currently is, are you going to boo him next time he plays for us?

Listen pidgeon i have never booed i city player i go to every game ,if i want to voice my opinion i will ,he has been through a terrible time we all know that , but he is not shy in doing interviews and as someone else with an opinion said being slightly melo dramatic ,if he was so traumatised he would be at home with his family ironing his city stuff ready to get back to the club who saved him from arsenal, and pay him vast amounts of money to play for our club.
Unless im mistaken this thread is about the rights and wrongs of wearing a city shirt ,not his playing ability ,so get of ya high horse ,if he followed mancini s lead and wore the colours with pride , instead of talking about arsenal at every oppurtunity and wearing there colours no one would have a problem , you see thats why you follow your club because of pride and a basic for players is that they wear our colours with pride not somebody elses.

Just my opinion ..........

Ok having read through all this my opinion is as follows:
I understand the grief he must be feeling but is he that grieved that he can go on TV and do an interview? Why not respect the three days of grievence as the rest of the squad? Not having a go I'm just seeing it from both sides.
As mentioned how would we feel about Tevez doing an interview in a United training top? The shit would hit the fan, I know I would be seething and be angry as fuck! Now back to Ade, ok what has happened is bad but what on Earth made him put an Arsenal shirt on for an interview with Sky etc??? Clearly he must have been aware of the reactions back in the UK? A stupid thing to do and with out a doubt he must have been aware of the situation.

im with you here mate . it doesnt sit easily with me

Well out of order, someone shoud get right down his ear and tell him while he is at city, the only football gear he wears ,should be m.c.f,c gear. not impressed. !

I've had a good long think about this... wieghed up the arguments on both sides - and I do mean all of the arguments. the reasoned, well-thought out ones and the idiotic, hysterical, hypothetical and borderline-racist ones too and you know what..?

Three people got shot. Two of them are dead and another is in serious difficulty.

If people want to get all morally indignant about what one of our players was wearing, that's their right. Truth be told, I'm less than gruntled myself about it but, that said, I'd respectfully suggest that this point has now been more than well made and that it might be best to let it drop. There's a time and a place for every argument (including this one) and whilst this may well be the right place, surely it's not the right time?

Maybe I'm wrong. I have been before (no, honest!) but, in my heart of hearts, I don't think that I am.

So please, let it go, eh? We're better than this.

Haven't you heard? It's a mandatory requirement to wear a top 4 shirt when you appear on SKY tv.

Out of interest has anyone looked on the Arsenal forums to see how they have perceived this? Just wondered what they have had to say.

Why on earth our club coudnt supply him with casual MCFC clothes is unbelievable.
So is the the hate from all the wankers who think hes stepped over the line.
Are you sad? running away with your feelings of superiority? does it make you feel good to get one over a City player who has been through hell.
Fck me give the guy a break, still shit to see though

very well said. i couldn't agree with you more

Not read through all 14 pages of this, so apologies if this has already been said, but didn't the bus carrying all their luggage get ransacked as well? If so, isn't he likely to be a bit short of clothes at the minute, and since this is his first trip back to Togo since we signed him, he's not had a chance to take his collection of 'Ireland is Superman' t-shirts.

As someone as already pointed out, does anyone really think that his choice of t-shirt was the most important thing on his mind this morning?
