Perhaps their supposedly large Jewish following partly explains their apparent attitude towards the Arab people.
they don't have a large Jewish following. They come from a city which has an old Jewish community. Therefore provincial clubs have always tagged them as ''Jews''. In the 70s/80s their firms adopted the insult as a badge of honour. A bit like Spurs in fact.
As I said in my earlier post they have no discernible attitude towards Arab people to distinguish themselves from any other Dutch people. The Dutch as a race are more outspoken about immigration than the British. They vote for parties that are anti-Islamic and anti-immigration. Their biggest political party represents those sentiments. You might find that odd in a country that is probably more advanced and better educated than ours, but it has nothing to do with Ajax.
Feyenoord would be a better shout on that front with the massive support their fans have given to far right anti-Islamic politicians.
Even there the Islamophobia is motivated by issues like immigration, mosques, veils, honour killings, crime, terrorism and a perceived threat to the Dutch way of life. It was there long before Man City became an Arab project, so your logic is ludicrous. It has nothing to do with football.
Would you be offended if the sheikh caricature was used to ridicule the allocation of the World Cup to Qatar? The answer is no, because you, like every other football fan on earth believes its a joke that FIFA sold the World Cup to a host like that.
