I've gone from elation at the end of the WBA game to despair in 90 minutes!

Very disappointed, and with that team out tonight we could and should have done far better.

Seriously where do you think Ajax would finish in the Premier League, 7th or 8th? Certainly not in the top four and yet tonight in what was pretty much a winner take all game they raised their game a couple of notches and we sadly were nowhere near our best. We plodded if truth be known, we lacked creativity and tellingly the ability to finish a few good chances.

If you look at ther goals, the first, we should have easily won the ball in midfield before it was swept out to the right. When it was squared across the edge of the box sure Milner didn't track back great but other defenders could have reacted to the danger and didn't

The second was just dreadful marking, forget this zonal bollox. Zonal doesn't stop you moving, being aware of where your opponents are and get this, jumping!

The third, players slip including Vince and the ball flicks off Clichy wrongfooting Joe H.

All three disastrous and preventable.

I'm not sure what is wrong at the moment compared to the last few months of last season, not just in the Chumps League but also the Prem. It just doesn't seem right to me.

What I do know is that we can't keep digging ourselves out of self created problems every game. It isn't going to happen.

Probably win our next 6 games now!

Barry was very below par tonight and YaYA looked knackered,this game was crying out for NDJ(shouldnt have let him go )

We've conceded the least goals from set pieces in the Premier League since we moved to zonal marking. It's far superior to man marking. Tonight Lescott mis-judged the flight of the ball and didn't react quick enough. It was an individual error, not a flaw in the system.

p.s. Yes that means Gary Neville's wrong.

But you agree it was an individual error, had he been anticipating the ball and ready for it he would have comfortably won the header. Zonal marking works.

He sure did win us premier league title, but if city wanna make accomplishment in CL he needs to go.

How many years you guys gonna give to Mancini to learn how to play CL before you guys lose patience and yell for firing him?

I would be happy with 3rd place, its a fucking disgrace we won't qualify for the second year running with the squad we have but at least the Europa league is a very winnable competition.

I know people really hate the europa league but we seriously need to start getting success in europe and winning the EL might get some confidence in the squad. Plus its a competition united havent won.

Well i'd have to agree with you there , the Europa League isn't to be sniffed at , even if it IS second best !

But quite frankly i think i'd rather us win the title again now than anything else

points total please, think its 5 points in 5 games, and a last min goal to get that, last year are best full backs richards clichy, CL he plays zaba kolorov, best defence last 2 years, he rips that apart v madrid away, and he thinks Dzeko is better than Tevez, he cant handle CL

Now I realise I'm knocking on a bit and the ''marble rattle'' syndrome is beginning to kick in, but what is this group? Last season? If so, WTF is Ajax doing there?

i shouldnt bother but ok, its a list of teams we played over last 2 seasons in champions league that wouldnt be considered a group of death, and we still not been good enough, if you need any more help just let me know

I still find it remarkable how after so much money spent how often we look sluggish and laboured in the middle and short on creativity and ideas. Mancini doesn't believe in wingers which eliminates that option so we're reliant on full-backs who don't always work especially when they are doing their other job (defending) and moments of magic from two playmakers (Silva and Nasri), one of whom is crocked and the other is often MIA (nice goal today though). We also don't have a creative midfielder, sorry but Barry isn't a creative midfielder, he's an efficient and tidy midfielder with the occasional nice pass in him, Alonso is a creative midfielder. In Mancini's defence, his first choice targets this summer would have filled some of those gaps.

With the team we have. The best we can do is over power the midfield and set into play the likes of Tevez or Aguero. Even Balo would look.

However the problem with that is as many of you noticed in his first season, that type of football is very dull on the eyes however effective it may be.

Facts are facts and Mancini's european record is poor,

Mancini`s "Poor" record is winning 23 out of 49 games.
Wenger 22 out of his first 49
Ferguson 24 out of his first 49

It takes 3-5 years to build a team capable of taking on the best in europe, Roberto has had his own players together for how long ?, nor can you judge him over the last two entries into the chumpions league without taking into consideration that we have been drawn in the toughest group both times


He has won the FA cup and title already while smashing records that have stood for years, including thrashing red shite on their own midden 1-6.............Those are the facts you need to pay attention to.
