No way was he ever going to be able to attempt to play his (City's) normal way. You have to take the circumstances into account
Under pellegrini Kolarov has always been third in line.Personally found it odd than Kolarov was given the armband ahead of Zabaleta, but this thread reminds me why we binned the player topics.
They tend to just result in arguments and slagging off that's rarely constructive or considered. Just people ranting and trying to outdo each other in how much they dislike a player.
It's a pretty damning statement when Koralov is considered the best left back in the club. Vastly over rated in my view and should go back to the Italian league where thevpace and tempo of the game is more suited to his lumbering style of play
Not his biggest fan but some of the criticism he is getting is a bit harsh. With respect to the left back position for next season can't see both incumbents being still around with Kolorov most likely to leave.I can't believe he's survived as long as he has. Far too many mediocre to woeful performances in terms of technique and awareness, and way too slow.
Agreed Peter about Italy having more success but it's that countries ability to produce more Individual World Class players and better defensive play. The lumbering and slow Italian league. A country that has produced many more world cup and Euro success than England ever has !
