Absolutely. In the history of politics, every party that has fucked up the economy has paid the price at the following election. People have long memories when disaterous decisions are made that directly impact them.
It doesn't matter who the tories elect as the new PM, the damage is done, and if we have power cuts this winter, their recovery will be even further away.
