Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Being a baldy has its pros. A quick 5 mins with the clippers every couple of weeks sees me right. Hairdressers still not open in Scotland. I think it will be mid July until that happens. We are at phase 2 of a 4 phase lockdown relax. Officially, we are expected to stay 'local' within 5 miles of home although that particular rule is being widely breached. Its cary out only for us although they have been flirting with the idea of reopening beer gardens and the like. Return to schools is a bit of a shambles UK wide.

The schools are hands down the toughest issue. I can handle all this stuff -- I;m working and healthy; that's 95% of the battle won. But what do two-income parents with young kids do? How do teenagers (like mine) handle this emotionally? My son hated online learning and suffered; my daughter took to it fine. Now that it's summer, my son is busy doing all kinds of things for himself while my daughter is really struggling, unable to maintain social connections. I think they are both relatively healthy but I'm very worried how this impacts them.

Yeah, I commiserate mate. I have 4 granddaughters aged between 6 and 12. They are all at very different stages and I worry about the damage this is doing to them. It seems the lack of physical contact with friends and us is really upsetting them.Three of them really miss their schoolmates and teachers and the other is starting school in the new term. The schools are set to reopen in August at 30% capacity and its really being left to our district councils to dictate the detail.

Kids are resilient for the most part and hopefully they will bounce back but it is one of the most worrying factors of this crisis.

Smashed her primary, unsurprisingly. She's also been advocating for a primary challenger elsewhere in NY (Jamaal Bowman) who is set to unseat Eliot Engel (been in congress since 1989).

She's got a long future ahead of her in American politics, and that's why Republicans are already so scared of her at just 31 years old.

I’ll never forget one bitter right wing poster on here claimed she was stupid. She’s Literally one of the brightest and articulate politicians I’ve come across. Matt Hancock and Pitti Patel could do with receiving speech lessons from her!

Seen she absolutely stormed her primary, unsurprisingly so.

I've watched AOC for quite a while and must say she is one of the most articulated and passionate politicians I have ever seen and exactly what the US needs.

The fact that she is such a threat to the US upper class white man speaks volumes as they are constantly on the offensive with her, trying to belittle her. But the entire US system is corrupt to the core with a gentlemans club beauracracy and she is the breath of fresh air determined to modernise the entire system. That's why the are so threatened by her.

It also seems like all of the competent politicians the world over these days are all female. Genuinely can't think of a competent male politician off the top of my head. Not that Canadian charlatan anyway, that country is absolutely decimating the environment while he addresses he/him pronouns...

Progressives "Hold my beer..."

Mondaire Jones, openly gay Progressive wins in H Clinton's own district and after she backs Eliot Engels, who promptly loses to Jamaal Bowman by almost double digits...

Just waiting on Charles Booker's town of Louisville to put him over the top, along with mail-in ballots. This against a $40mil backing of Amy McGrath whose money was 96% outside of Kentucky!

Results known on June 30th.

Come on, Kentucky! People Power!

I want a world lead by the Ardern's, Merkel's and AOC's. I'm so done with average middle aged males continually letting us down.
