Arsenal have lost out on champions league money this season I can't see them turning 60 mill + down as well it just doesn't make sense

Sanchez not signing if true isn't the end of the world. It is however poor business from us to not have brought in another striker. 1 injury and we're woefully short upfront. And please don't quote me saying we've got Silva.Bernardo,KDB,Sane etc etc, none of them are strikers, Sterling can do a job there but we're still short as it stands. An alternative Doesn't even need to be of the stature of Sanchez, A Llorente style signing as a capable back up and alternative would work.

Fuck it, just stuck £30 at 2/1

Nice one. Just put 40 @ 3-1 with betfair ;-)

Tolmie has reappeared on It's Quiet:

"Fee agreed, contracts sorted, legal team sorted, medical sorted. Pending a player, wasn't told there was a caveat."

"Stay the course."

There's not much we can do if, as looks increasingly likely, Arsenal are simply refusing to sell. That's their prerogative, and we have to accept it.

Can't help but feel that it is a spectacularly bad decision by a club that is being increasingly shambolic though. He will presumably be demotivated and a disruptive presence at The Emirates, not to mention the £60m financial hit they will take.

Ah well, hopefully we'll get him next summer on a free. Our squad now looks a bit short on striking options though. An injury to Aguero or Jesus and we're in trouble.

Still clinging to the slight hope that it's not definitively over, but it's not looking good.

Just got in from work, and it's overtaken the it's quiet thread - however, fuck all appears to have happened. So, has anything happened since 05:30 this morning?

Fair play to them.

I wish we had done this when FFP was first introduced and then challenged it in court as an illegal rule to stop us breaking into the elite.

PSG have thrown down the gauntlet and it will be interesting to see if they face some ructions, probably not in the end.

They are going to have a sulking player on their hands. They are inept, and quite cynical. Some of the statements that have been coming out from their friends in the media about no money etc are just too funny to be taken seriously.

It is deadline day though, and it's a day for bluff and counter-bluff and their journalists are used as pawns. Lets see what transpires in the remaining hours.

I wonder if a Spanish club will make a sneaky bid tomorrow, after Arsenal have had a night to reflect on the money they've lost and the disaffected player they've got.
