So having a player (your best player at that) not wanting to be there enables you to compete??I'm a fan
I don't give a feck about £60m
I want us to compete
Understand?

He is still under contract with Arse in JanHe signs for us in January If not in the next 25 minutes.
Next summer would we even want him. A free transfer doesn't mean a free signing. He would want a massive signing on fee. We may have moved on to other targets.
Turning down a low ball fee isn't 'fucking him off', it's simply considering him a higher value asset. He'll definitely go for free next summer, when he's near 30 past his prime.
Then you should have replaced Sanchez early in the window. As it is you will be mid-table and lose Sanchez, Ozil and your manager.I'm a fan

You keep saying this, but that doesn't mean he would have come if Wenger stayed firm does it?
He said sign him in Jan as next summer we wont want him. We cannot sign him in Jan - we can talk to him but he is still under contractJust like it would now.. except the fee would be even less
As he is now. We could buy him in January as presumably by then Arsenal will have had time to identify a replacement. He is still under contract with Arse in Jan

Maybe he's not a prick? He won't be that devesatedAs we've seen today nothing is ever certain.
However I do believe Sanchez could have publicly tried harder to push the transfer through if he is so devastated about it now.

Because there'll be other negotiations to be done in the future.I wonder why we didn't just up our bid late on.
He'd probably miss some of them too. The difference should be that he does convert more and make a better pass more often than some of our existing attacking players. We'd be paying for that extra 5-10 percent. That's the difference between the levels. Between drawing against Everton or losing in the Champs League to Monaco (given we've neglected central defence and central midfield). He's the finished product. Sometimes football is about the here and now. I think he'd have made the difference. They shouldn't need to be clinical with the type of football we play, just average.
We are missing too many final passes & simple chances that anyone should score, not just a Sanchez or Aguero.
If Sanchez fell into the same habit, he would miss them too. The players we have are good enough to score a lot more goals & should be doing so.
