Alexis Sanchez

Turning down a low ball fee isn't 'fucking him off', it's simply considering him a higher value asset. He'll definitely go for free next summer, when he's near 30 past his prime.

So sell him now for £60m plus or in 9 months time for nothing? Plus his wages and his mood as he doesn't want to be with you? Fucking hell you guys are a complete joke

I'm a fan

I don't give a feck about £60m

I want us to compete

Understand?
Then you should have replaced Sanchez early in the window. As it is you will be mid-table and lose Sanchez, Ozil and your manager.

You've got the worst scenario so I don't know what point you are trying to make.

In my view you've had the best years of Sanchez anyway, and although City had made him our main target, I think it might work out in our favour being able to buy a young forward next season.

It will be interesting to see what Alexis says when he is asked about this after the Chile game. Personally would appreciate something along the lines of 'the club have shown that they will not respect my wishes so I will not respect theirs, I intend to leave at the earliest opportunity'.

Just sends a message that being a **** is best when it comes to transfers. Dembele kicked up a horrible fuss and got his move, didn't work for Coutinho and van Dijk but nobody can say they didn't try and at the end of the day Liverpool/Soton will still welcome them back with open arms.

Surprised this is Cross' take. Thought we'd be blamed.

You keep saying this, but that doesn't mean he would have come if Wenger stayed firm does it?

As we've seen today nothing is ever certain.

However I do believe Sanchez could have publicly tried harder to push the transfer through if he is so devastated about it now.

Fair play to arsenal. Fuck player power, they own him and they tell him what's happening

Fuck Arsenal and fuck Wenger. I hope they finish 7th and he's get the sack.

Ridiculous to throw away 60m, they are not getting top 4 with or with out Sanchez. Don't see the point of keeping him. If City did the same I would be livid right now.

Clueless manager and clueless club. Can't wait until we play them.

Maybe he's not a prick? He won't be that devesated

So he has 1 year left in his prime? How do know this?

Reckon the half-arsed effort he'll put in for you will add a year to his career anyway.

They shouldn't need to be clinical with the type of football we play, just average.

We are missing too many final passes & simple chances that anyone should score, not just a Sanchez or Aguero.

If Sanchez fell into the same habit, he would miss them too. The players we have are good enough to score a lot more goals & should be doing so.
He'd probably miss some of them too. The difference should be that he does convert more and make a better pass more often than some of our existing attacking players. We'd be paying for that extra 5-10 percent. That's the difference between the levels. Between drawing against Everton or losing in the Champs League to Monaco (given we've neglected central defence and central midfield). He's the finished product. Sometimes football is about the here and now. I think he'd have made the difference.

We'll never know for sure, at least not until we probably try again in January.
