If that ws the case, most of City's current best players would be elsewhere.
Aguero is hardly on peanuts is he?

Hardly gonna commit to anything concrete as it looks like United have stolen a march, so to speak.Pep playing his cards close to his Chest- just said he’s an Arsenal player
Not the point though is it, I don't think it's wise to be offering a 29 year old 400k a week when we're in the middle of negotiating new contracts with KdB and Sane, what signal is that putting out to future deals and contracts?
Completely disagree. We lost the midfield battle, and Firmino dropping into midfield making it 4v3 was a large part of that. Sanchez or Jesus playing today would have done the same, made it 4v4 and we'd not have been outplayed in midfield, and the defence would have been exposed to Salah and Mané getting the ball high up time after time.
Apart from Messi , find me a more expensive 29 year old in terms of the wages 400K / week
@citizens_1976 And who could potentially be even more expensive by spoiling the wage apple cart, leading to unhappy players, agents, and ballooning commiserate wage demands.

You thought wrong.I thought money was no object for us?
no lets not make a statement and pay every starting attacker 400k. Really want to give a 29 year old a 4 or 5 year contract for 400k? not smart business at allIt is a statement of intent to the rest of the premier league that we are not to be caught for a long while.

Oil's gone downI thought money was no object for us?

Once again today showed why we're so much better as a team with Jesus, and Sanchez would have offered similar.
Debt isn't part of FFP, so you are correct without realising it.Looks like Utd's money loaned from the bank defeats the sheikhs billions then...

Love Aguero but Sanchez's workrate and willingness to get stuck in would have helped us alot more today! We'll regret not lifting our offer if he goes to the rags!
Great response. And the sun is dying out with every passing hour.
