Altercation at Terminal 2

Fascinating reading this thread. It's either people who fiercely dislike people of Pakistani heritage or people who fiercely dislike police officers. And some who hate both.
I have read some garbage on this forum over the years, mainly on the matchday thread, but that post takes some beating.

A poor take. Put yourself in his position? I’ve no idea how one of those punches to the head didn’t floor him-I shudder to think what would’ve happened at that point.

If I was a police officer and reacted the same then I'd admit I wasn't cut out for policing.

So he can get himself an SIA licence and become a nightclub bouncer instead.

IMHO you should stop drinking today, you've had too much.

How is it anti-police? Police are trained to control their aggression. He lost control and dangerously so. It follows that he isn't cut out for policing, especially firearms.
Have you now seen the whole video? You're looking to still fight an angle that's not there. Have you paid for the 5 minute argument or full half hour?

You’d be on your ass like most people including myself after the first punch

I'm not holding myself up as an elite police officer.

Just because he passes the physical fitness and strength tests doesn't mean that he doesn't fail the conduct or personal suitability criteria.

If he can't exercise self-control then why should he be given an assault rifle and allowed to patrol airports?

Yes I've seen it all. Police officers are not allowed to get in a last kick on a wounded and out of action opponent.

I'd say showing enough restraint to stop himself shooting the **** is sufficient self control

Where was the assault rifle? He was thumped in the head around a dozen times.

As a former police officer I take my hat off to anymore who puts themselves forward to carry firearms for no extra pay, but to protect us.

If you sir, we're being attacked by 3 or 4 people and felt threatened and did what the police officer did in this situation you wouldn't be in risk of a charge, you would have rightfully and willfully defended YOURSELF.
