Whatever I'll believe it when I see it. I can't see this helping our case for unloading Boateng for anything more than we paid for him as he was one of our few covers for the fullbacks. I'd rather us pull this deal out later than sooner. We've spent something like 40 mil on left sided fullbacks. We should have just broke the bank last year for 30-35 mil.

He looks more like Taye Taiwo than he does Eric Abidal. Don't like Fullbacks from the Taye Taiwo school of football.
While I haven't watched him much, as he plays in France, I have seen enough video clips to discern style. He plays mor like Taye Taiwo and less like Abidal. I like my left backs more like Abidal than Taye Taiwo.
Honestly, I am leaning towards a preference for Baines. I tend to prefer players with technique over those with athleticm.
