An End to Terrace/Armchair Managers vs Mancini...

This place makes me piss sometimes. Mancini changes formation against Sunderland, admits it openly himself, gets congratulated for it by 'the usual suspects', only for his fan club on here to deny he'd changed anything, because admitting to a change would have been admitting that things needed changing. Then he sticks with the formation but makes an absolute pigs ear of the personel, and it's the fault of 'the usual suspects' for forcing him to change tactics by creating a negative vibe, despite the fact that, once again, he has publicly admitted he got it wrong. You'll be telling us next that he deliberately fucked it up in a subtle attempt to prove that 4-4-2 doesn't work against the big teams, so he can revert back to 4-5-1 against United. He's one clever guy is our Bob.

Oh dear, let's have it right, people; Tévez, for all his faults, has shown he can be as creative as Silva. That's a truth. Perhaps not as creative consistently, but enough to know where to put a ball as well as make a goal out of nothing, for himself. Dzeko gets the nod for hold up play/ crosses into the box. No faults with the game play logic, that I can see, so far.

When the clamour AJ to start does not yield results, why can you not say "I was wrong!"?? It is not Mancini that tells Johnson not to cross, in fact, he tells Johnson that he must make the right decisions on the pitch. I ask you, what decision did AJ come to, on the pitch, with Dzeko on the field??

Let's face it, the 3-0 was because the midfield let the Dippers run riot. 3 international(2 for England, experienced Prem players) let that happen. Yaya, shackled to the DM position cannot drive his team on, as it would left huge gaps for them to run in to... Oh, sorry, that happened, didn't it, because none of Milner or Barry are disciplined enough to hold the fort, nor skilled enough to drive the midfield, by themselves.

So yes, Carl, the performance was, indeed similar to Villa's performance, because they were ineffectual in midfield: toothless. Yet, our problem was simply that the balance was wrong and too many players off their game.

I'd swapped NdJ for Barry and allow Yaya to dictate the push on, along with Milner controlling the area behind him, darting forward if the opportunity arose.

Hahahaha that's exactly it.

When he is sacked in summer it will be the fault of the "usual suspects" for not allowing him to do his job properly.

i cannt think tha any of the people criticising RM's tactics over the last months would have picked a team without silva and dejong in it!!!!!....

"When he's sacked..."??

I'll wager you a month's exile from Bluemoon at the start of next season that he's not.

Do you wish to accept??

I don't accept it because I believe his exit will be stage managed and will be either "mutually agreed" or a "resignation".

But if you want to bet whether he's our manager at the start of the season then you're on. Forfeit is a full and frank apology on Bluemoon....how about that?

Apology and a month's exile and it's done deal.

Throw in a £20 donation to the charity of the loser's choice and you're on.

After we went 1-0 down, it was clear that we were getting completely outworked in the centre of midfield - both Barry and Yaya were anonymous. Tevez should have been replaced by Zabaleta, who would have been utilised in the De Jong role. We would have kept the ball better, and would have been able to get a foothold in the game. Instead, Mancini decided that more attackers means more attacking; and it clearly does not, previously emphasised against Fulham earlier in the season when Dzeko was replaced by Vieira and we were a much more dangerous side. And I've always opined that if we're to start Dzeko, Kolarov must be playing left-wing.

You're clearly very confident. Perhaps trading on 'insider' knowledge? I've had very good source on stuff, myself, but in the last moments things have changed, resulting in me looking silly.

Based on that, I'll accept the wager with all the forfeits intact.
