Another new Brexit thread

I have predicted this before and it’s plainly obvious to all but those who are entrapped in this thread. There will never be a time when one side can say see I told you I was right and the other side accepts it. This is 100% guaranteed so those trying to get someone to ‘own’ it are not as clever as they think they are. In fact the more you post on here on the subject of being right the dafter you are.

Reclaim your own sanity or you will be wasting your time on here till you draw your last breath.

The irony of who “liked” this post

Wouldn't expect you to see any view except your own - very much standard. Your views however seem to have no traction outside your own narrow cabal or with the public in general. I'll wish you well and leave you to it.
The public in general have twigged. If somehow we could have another referendum (and we could turn the clock back to before we had actually left) you'd see. Most recent poll was 56%/44% for staying in the EU.

But I know you only say this sort of stuff as a WUM. And I wonder if you will leave us to it!

Agreed. They saw what was afoot and subsequently delivered a huge pro brexit majority to the Tories and gave the EU a message by voting in huge numbers for the brexit party.

Honestly Vic, ringing a few Labour remain voters isn't proof the public wants what you want.

Just for the record (as usual) more people voted for pro-remain or pro-fresh vote parties.

The thing is some people will always vote for the same party and some voted despite their choice’s Brexit stance.

The best way to measure the public’s opinion on this is the swing in votes, which went all one way in the election.

I’m convinced it’s still just over half in favour of Brexit.

Second sentence is a total non sequitur from the first and there's thus no evidential basis for your third.

By all means you can doubt the polls but that means doubting 99% of polls since the referendum.

I suspect you are spot on. If there were a more decisive swing either way it would not remain such a divisive issue. GE result was a result of BJ's trump style appeal, Corbyn rightly or wrongly being demonised / discredited, and labour attempting to play both sides of the brexit debate and being outflanked by tories / lib dems. Not sure either remain or leave can claim it, but remainers were probably split more than leavers in voting terms so 'lost'.

I’m not sure if you’ve misunderstood my point because yours makes absolutely no sense.

Just for the record, brexit could have been stopped at the ballot box quite a few times but it never has.

You are just fooling yourself Vic to pretend otherwise im afraid.

Labour lost 1.7 Million leave votes at the GE alone.
