For those that doubt long covid exists or who believe those that suffer are sick notes I can tell you, you are very, very wrong. It is real, life changing and serious. My son is into his third year. Previously an extreme sportsman and cycling nut. Now can't walk more than 200 yards.
My eldest son was reasonably fit when covid came and he was given the vaccine because his mother decided hearing 'everybody needed it' was important. My autistic son, also living under her roof with his affected brother, did not have it nor I having diabetes.
I said to her that my lad didn't need it at his age because of his strong immune system.
Since then, he and his mother had covid at least 5 times in a short period. He, unfortunately, picked up a tuberculosis variant from a kid in school that came from eastern Europe. My lad had to be blasted with chemo drugs after it was being caught lying dormant.
Also, since then, he has picked up CFS and is in and out of hospital a lot. The original docs pointed out out that the vaccine wasn't needed for him and had played its part in lowering my lad's immune system and erratic heart rate (seemingly recovered from now). No doctors, since then, have spoken on the vaccine connection.
This has all played a part in affecting his mock exams going from a very high prediction to him barely clinging on to passing. He's been given a pathway to a prodigious college, but doesn't know if he'll be able to complete what he needs through fatigue.
I know where you're coming from even if other dismissive clowns on here, don't.
