Anyone had run ins with city players outside of football?

After a night out at Brazingamans in Wilmslow I met Gio at the burger van, around about the time he was at Derby, he was with Richard Wright the Everton keeper, I told him he was my sons favourite player and he had named his hamster after him! he was a top bloke and was sharing a laugh with me, I asked him where he was at that time (I thought that he had left Derby) and he said he was training with the rags, I said to him, "Georgie, you wouldn't do that to us!" and he laughed and said "just kidding, i'm still at Derby". Top bloke.

I also had a "toilet moment" with Brian Horton in a pub in Stockport, I was that drunk I told him I loved him!!!

PS... I have joined the site because of that fantastic Tevez poster, awesome. COME ON CUTY.

Last Feb Ched got kicked out of Zubar in Rhyl for dancing on a table he was giving it the "I am" with the doorman whilst trying to push his way back inside. So I approached some of the lads he was with and suggested if they we're mates they would take him away before he either gets smashed up or arrested they didn't do anything so I pulled him away myself and had a word telling him how he should be better than this and that hes representing Manchester City, what I said seemed to sink in and he let me usher him away. I used to play football with him a couple of years back and he was a nice lad back then, makes you wonder how much the "big time" effects these players.

Ian Brightwell p****d up in a kebab shop in macc, asked for his autograph on a paper bag, he drew a picture of a knob which a 5 year old would have been proud of and wrote "drink your beers"!! class.

Having lived in the Shrewsbury area for the last decade or so I've met Joe hart. No real stories to tell but he was a nice guy.

He's the only player I've met, although I did walk past Sir Geoff Hurst at a train station when I was about four...

^^^^ funnily enough i met joe hart in tesco altrincham yesterday! snobby bastard, i said hello and he pretended to be on the phone, i was wearing my city top and said loudly GOOD LUCK AT BIRMINGHAM, WE ALL WANT YOU BACK FOR OUR NUMBER ONE WHEN GIVENS TIMES UP! and he smiled then carried on in the sweets isle, i did have to say to him though "you big girls blouse" because he was wearing UGG boots, you know the ones that when women wear with no tights etc we all love but we all knoe they are overpriced pieces of crap ;)

Went on a few pre-seasons in the 80s and 90s and so got to meet a few of them. Highlights were:

Nicky Reid and Eric Nixon let me sleep on their bedroom floor in Huelva, Spain after I ran out of money. I was about 17 years old at the time. They brought me up food from the hotel buffet. Always remember Nicky Reid lecturing me on the benefits of eating apples rather than chips. Needless to say I spent the next 20-odd years ignoring his advice.

On the same trip in Huelva we played Barcelona and beat them on pens to get through to the final of the Trofeo Colombino. I'd somehow blagged a press pass and was pitchside as the game ended. Mark Hughes had just signed for Barca and as he trudged off at the end I immaturely tried to bait him by saying "what's it like to be beaten by the true Manchester team, Mark?". Thankfully, rather than chinning me, he calmly answered "dunno" and walked on by.

Tony Coton was quite friendly and supplied me with a porn mag he'd finished with on a Swedish tour. I obviously looked like I needed it. (Pages weren't soiled, btw)

Ian Brightwell and Steve Redmond were always great with me on tour and supplied me with free tickets at aways for a season or two, every game without fail. Top blokes.
