Are we clearly suffering from a lack of striker this season? Have midtable sides figured us out?

What they never say though is their plan B is hoofball. 2 big donkeys up front they can lob long balls up to.

No thanks.
How about a plan B being having someone who can just put the ball in the net when it's begging for it?

On a different note, remember when we used to score fantastic goals from swift counter attacks? KDB 40 yard ball to Sane and the ball is in the net before you blink. When was the last time we did that?

We get countless opporunities to rip the opponent apart like that - pretty much in every game we get these chances. And pretty much in every game we either fuck it up because we have no striker to actually do the business, or we stop on the half way line and pass it backwards for 10 minutes, waiting for the opponents to regroup. Does my head in at times.

It's the same every single time we get a freak draw or defeat.

We've been worked out, he's got Pep's number, we need a striker, we need a plan B, we need to play our strongest team.

We are the best team in the world pushing for a treble whilst trying to buy a world class striker when one becomes available. There's literally nothing to worry or whinge about.

But we do need a world class striker.

If you stand still, people move past you. If you keep changing and moving forwards, it's harder for those people to keep up. If we still played the kind of football that relied on quick transitions and speed as opposed to constant, patient control, Pep would have been sacked ages ago and we'd currently have someone else in charge.

Also I'm pretty sure we scored one of the counter-attacking goals of the season at Villa Park literally a few weeks ago. Bernardo volleyed it in first time.

As the Bernado goal demonstrated, it does not need to have to be either/or. We do not have to score every goal preceded by 54 passes and it's frustrating when golden opportunities do quickly present themselves and we very, very frequently fail to capitalise upon them.
