Are we clearly suffering from a lack of striker this season? Have midtable sides figured us out?

we never replaced edin. the perfect plan b. bring him on with 15 to go testerday and we win.
The problem for us to have a plan B type striker is, we only need one 10 times a season and that’s how you end up with a plan B like Origi.
The only real way of doing it would be someone like Dzeko or Cavani that wouldn’t expect the game time.

again, "suffering" is a huge overstatement. even calling it a "problem" is a bit much
however, I do think we are scoring less than we could due to poor finishing and a lack of a recognized striker. we've scored less than the dippers - I think that would never happen in we had a world class striker

The existing players can improve. For example Sterling and KDB started the season in poor form before improving. In hindsight I am glad that we did not just buy any striker in the Summer. For example, Lukaku is now struggling. Whether that is down to Tuchel, I don't know, and Kane is playing more as a midfielder now than a striker. If we bring in a striker, they have to be exceptional. IMO Liverpool have the perfect solution to this because none of their main forwards are conventional centre forwards. I actually don't think we need a striker. We want control and playing with a false nine provides us with that. We just need everyone to keep being clinical. We've scored more goals than every other side apart from Liverpool. Every other side has a striker.

i wouldnt say suffering, but cant help but think having a decent impact sub to come off the bench with 20 mins to play up top would help us if we're struggling to break down these lower sides.
