are we getting arrogant

We've got some right dick heads following our club. Since the day of the takeover the arrogance/cockiness/wankerishness has been creeping in and getting worse and worse. Songs like "we'll buy your club and burn it down" was started just two weeks after the takeover, and it's a fucking horrible Rag-esque chant. As is the most recent "we're Man City, we'll score when we want!". Both - and there are quite a few others - are so Raggy they make me feel dirty! The way some go on about other clubs as if they're a joke (just like the Rags do about everyone but them), even if they've achieved much more than us throughout history, is sometimes stupid. The expectation where fans just demand to be entertained and demand wins, as if the other team is some Sunday pub team, is getting to the point where even a mis-placed pass is met with huge groans. Also the way THOUSANDS fuck off en mass from every game no matter what the time of kick off, the day of the game, the importance of the game, the opposition, the scoreline or whether there's 15minutes left or whatever as if they're all saying "meh, you don't deserve my undying support to the very end and even if you did I can't be arsed to give it to you". All of this makes me think the type of fans supporting my club aren't the same kind of fans as me and all my mates. I'm not saying they've oy just turned up, but the money has brought the worst out in them.

I agree.I was reading a thread a few days ago regarding Aston Villa. One poster
replied that he couldn't support a team same as AV,as apparently, they were
not good enough to get into the top four.WTF is that all about,it wasn't to long
ago that Villa had a better team than us.It's becoming embarrassing.

Are City fans separate from every other human being? Are we a cut above just because we support City?

Are we hell, we are just human beings following our team, if fans can't get a little giddy now they when can they?

We are having the time of our lives, some of us have waited a long time for this, for record the I don't think we are becoming arrogant, but I do beleive that there are some sensitive souls on here, who really need to understand irony

A team full of world class players and a bottomless resource to strengthen for more world class players-it's not arrogance, it's logic. Look at the odds for the Wolves match

Yes I think so. Just look at today, no guts, silva haven't hit with a single pass. Totally ouf of it the whole team. Balotelli to save us ?

im 39 and watching city all my life has made me arrogant(not in the rag way).i have taken all kind of shite over the years so its kind of nice to go to the game and show some kind of arrogance.who put the ball in uniteds net half the f****n team did, is a top arrogant song for me.

Agreed.

Every club has them, but the more successful a club becomes, the more attractive they will be to young kids 'picking' a team for the first time. If they keep winning for a few years, those kids become teenagers, and eventually young lads who've never known what it's like to follow a poor team.

That's not to say it's ALL young kids either - it's not, most of it is mid 20s types getting a bit carried away - almost like they've just discovered alcohol and think it's clever to drink a bottle of vodka!

We should ALL be mindful that whilst it's great to be a City supporter at the moment, like any other club, we are only a season or so away from potential disaster. Things change rapidly in this world and we are not immune.

We've been down to Div 3, we don't want to do THAT trip again.
Leeds played in Europe 10 years ago, then crashed horribly.
Nottingham Forest were possibly the pride of England for a couple of years, but it didn't last.
Manchester City are not immune to disaster, in fact, we're possibly a breeding ground for it.

Let's enjoy our time in the sun, but pack a jumper just in case the weather takes a turn for the worse.... there's NOTHING to be gained from acting like arrogant idiots, you can only fall from a height making ludicrous claims about superiority etc.

For me personally, I believe if we STAY in the top 4 (unlike Spurs slipping out) that's a sign of progress simply because we've stabilised. If we get top 3, that's definite improvement, and even runner up in the league would be damn impressive. Actually winning it would be more than more reasonable fans could ever have 'expected'.

fuckin ell is this still going on???

Arrogant my arse!

Whats wrong with being over confident and rubbing it in peoples faces???
Are we suppose to clap whilst destroying another team and after say "oh jolly good game fellas we won't rub it in how we dominated and made your club look rather mediocre"???

When did football turn into a fuckin middle class game?
