I both love and hate this video, love it because the City fan rips them apart and hate it because this is the result of the media agenda against us, know nowts spoutin shite, though its refreshing to see that the comments are 95% pro city.

To be fair to him,he’s absolutely slaughtered them

Exactly. From 1996/7 to 2004/5, your lowest postion was 3rd, and that was on goal difference. That wasn't boring at the time, was it?

You can't blame City for making it a procession, and I know you won't blame it on City's spending, as you're far to sensible for that (NOT being sarcastic there, by the way), as the names Henry Norris and Danny Fizsman would immediately be thrown back at you.

As a general observation, I find that fans of clubs who were lording it at the top of the tree for many years (the 'istree clubs, if you like), find it difficult to accept the new kids on the block, who have arrived via a large cash injection from a new owner. This is despite the fact that they all got there themselves by the same method in the past, which is generally whitewashed from their history in arguments on the subject.

At the end of the day, it's only a game of 22 players kicking a football around. But that's just the starting point for debate amongst fans.

Long may it continue.

Let me make it absolutely clear. I have no problem with the financial backing you've enjoyed from Sheik Mansour. I've never moaned about that. In fact, I admire how well run the club is under his ownership and also for the investment he's made for the local community in east Manchester. Anyone sensible would acknowledge and respect that. For me, if Arsenal can't win it, then City or Liverpool I'd prefer to see win it because those teams play with great style and flair and I enjoy watching them (the thought of Spurs and to a lesser extent, Man Yoo, winning it is something I couldn't stomach). Although I have both Sky and BT, I don't watch every game. For example, last season, Man Yoo were so boring and pedestrian I rarely bothered watching them.but I do watch City and Liverpool. (In an ideal world, I'd swap Ozil for KdB and Iwobi for Sane).

My point is that never in my view has there been such egregious excellence shown by one team as this City one. There is no one close, Liverpool probably the best of the rest. After one game, it's clear to me City will walk it again and I wouldn't be surprised if they notch 100 points again. The Premier League competition is therefore merely a contest of the also rans for the lesser spots.

For the avoidance of doubt, I have no problem with City. Despite my Gooner bias, I'm grown up enough to acknowledge excellence even if means I wish we were as good.

City fans are very fortunate at the moment to be able to watch such a side and call it our own.

We've both been blessed with truly great sides in our lifetimes. You have to think Arsenal will come good in time. Too big a club not to.

Good Luck later today against Chelsea. Looking forward to that game.

I think you get a wholly undeserved hard time off certain posters. Glad it doesn’t stop you posting, mate.

Seriously, how small does your cock have to be to get such a hard-on about supporting a ‘big club’?

I'm hoping that, now that whiny old **** has fucked off & stopped spouting unfair bile, the general theme coming from Arsenal FC & fans won't be one of City 'cheating' by spending money & I can start to enjoy watching them play once more, as I used to when Wenger first arrived.

I think Pep's City will improve the standard of the Premier League, as the opposition has no choice. It will be difficult for a manager to just go through the motions doing the same ol routine & pick up titles, as Ferguson used to do. Everyone has to up.their game, which is good.

It’s weird but it seems like it’s just us that don’t care what other fans think of us lol. The rest are a bunch of insecure weirdos. They can’t get their head around why we as a fan base aren’t that bothered about the CL lol. Coming from a nob who’s teams never even won it.

Everything, absolutely everything that's wrong with football. The Champions League isn't the pinnacle of club football. This is why I fucking hate Arsenal, they were happy to finish 4th to get in the CL. Useful fucking nothing twats. Happy to give up the champions of England to try and win a cup competition. A fucking cup competition - the media have won.

Oh, and tin pot club! Fucking southern cünts. Well done that lad for keeping his cool.

Thanks for coming back with this posting. It's good to hear the views of other club's supporters, and you are one of our most sensible (and welcome) visitors, as your posts do not contain the bile and invective of some of our more unwelcome ones. Yours show reasoned argument.

As for the coming season. I also hope we achieve 100 points again, but to say we'll walk it seems to be a bit optmistic and premature. I hope I'm proved wrong, though! Injuries, such as to KDB, can happen at any time, but I'd like to think we now have quality cover for most positions. Not quite the same, but I think we'll cope. ;-)

Looking back to when you were "good", the football your team played at times was a refreshing change to the "1-0 to the Arsenal" days, and a pleasure to watch. This was acknowledged by the Kippax in one memorable game iirc, when we were taken apart.

Football is cyclic; we are now at the pinnacle and I am enjoying it while it lasts. The quality of football is the best I (and you, apparently) have ever seen, and even surpasses the Mercer-Allison days of my youth. It won't last, nothing does.

I'll be happy with another 29 years of it, though!
