What's wrong with a coach, jumping the train, transit van with all your mates?

Hotel and flight for an FA cup 4th round away......loaded fucker. Was all your mates sharing your room and the flight?

I would normally and much prefer btw, taking the train. I don’t enjoy flying that much. However, for a Friday night kickoff at 8pm and given there are no trains today from Piccadilly to Euston, I had no choice but at extra expense to fly and so staying over for the night was the only option. My mates had separate rooms, of course. Motel One Piccadilly had good rates at £79 per night. Sad thing was, we couldn’t find a decent champagne and caviar bar in Manchester ;-) ..though we did have excellent fish and chips for lunch at Mr. Thomas Chop House served with Manchester caviar (mushy peas). They also serve a decent pint of Guinness. I heartily recommend it.

No you don't.

Since the world cup we have beaten you, Chelsea (twice) Liverpool and Spurs and if it wasn't for the most ridiculous offside decision at old Trafford we would of beat the scum. Not bad for a team who the media are saying are playing poorly.

Now bear in mind we have probably only been playing at around 75% and you have been going at full plet and your still only 5 points ahead of us with half a season left.

We are just warming up and know how to deal with the pressure of a tight runin to the season. This Arsenal team don't. I'm 100% confident we get a result at The Emirates and well beat you at the Etihad.

You'll be at least 5 points behind us come the end of the season

logic, more games and travel may cause you to drop an odd 2 points where you shouldn’t. Look at the record of teams after a midweek European match vs a team that was rested mid week, there is big difference

We had played less than 48 hours beforehand at the Emirates, another away at Brentford, with a left-back who had been beaten up in his home the night before and still won.

Our form isn't disconcerting, Arsenal's has been excellent and you will have to be nigh on perfect to still best this City team, such is the benchmark we have set for ourselves and the league in general.

No. I didn’t say we are big favorites to win league. The bookies do though that is their business. I haven’t seen prime city yet a little more than halfway into season. Maybe you will show up and it won’t be enough or Arsenal crumble. But yes the number of competitions you are in will hurt your form in league unless you guys bomb out

Agree with that and if there is one difference for me this season, it’s that the best player in the league for the past few years, De Bruyne is not himself. He looks a level down (and is he carrying some extra timber?).

I think you guys are better side now but better side can’t win every title every year. And in post WC year your established internationals are being asked a lot of physically that our team is not. He looks better to me than Silva and Foden. But still kdb racks up assists but the whole attack looks less balanced and more predictable

But this is a fight we've won before, doing the exact same things we're doing now.

We won all three English championships (four if you count the Community Shield) in the same season in our hunt for the Champions League, still reaching the CL QF's, so this is a challenge we've met many times before and come out on top. This was also against hungry yet inexperienced squads.

This Arsenal squad have not been challenged like this before and the biggest doubt surrounding Arteta's team IS that inexperience. You have the expectation that City's schedule will play a huge role, yet you have nothing to contest that Arsenal's inexperience at this stage won't be their own downfall?

It is way too early for anyone to start proclaiming victory or start throwing in the towel. Come back after 33 games played; we'll all have a better understanding by that point. All we saw last night is that Arsenal were knocked out of a competition they would have liked to win and Manchester City will progress further in.

Never got out of second gear. Arsenal, aside from the two chances which were well saved in the opening half hour, offered absolutely nothing.

Zero cutting edge, we were happy to cede up some possession and not be caught on the counter.

It won't be easy on the eye, but Pep was incredibly smart and did something Arteta wouldn't have expected.

We played over the top of the midfield and in to Haaland, who probably touched the ball more than any game so far.

Pep knows Arteta would go man for man and their press would ensure both our wide men would be facing our own goal when receiving possession.

Ortega's ability to clip the ball over really was pivotal as the game wore on.

The game showed we need younger legs in the middle and Gundo is slowing down at an alarming rate.

Bernie brought a freshness and we can be very encouraged how Zin was targeted in the air when Walker came on.

Ake is as good as any left back playing right now in the league and deserves all the praise.

Gutted for Stones again but Dias and Laporte being available will temper that loss.

Arsenal have no cutting edge and listening to their fans leaving the Etihad singing we are top of the league, was amusing.

Sounded like Scousers, but with a team half the quality.

City players deserve credit. In the last month we have played Liverpool, Chelsea twice, United away, Spurs home and Arsenal.

And the only loss in that lot was an officiating robbery.

Shame we won't follow Arsenal's lead and strengthen in this window, though.

It certainly wasn’t easy on the eye. I was expecting an end to end game like the Liverpool one and got the exact opposite!

I agree should be strengthening in the window particularly as the full back areas are starting to look problematic with mard arse Cancelo throwing his dummy out and Walker looking very sluggish.

Bang on mate , a real tough few weeks , still of the opinion though we will have to take 4 points off them in our head to heads to put the jitters on them -Spurs away is going to be one difficult game , we start Bernardo , Walker , and our secret weapon Alvarez more often then I’m confident , long way to go , but we need to be three points behind with 10 to play in my opinion.
