One of the most frustrating matches I have witnessed, both for the tactics employed by Arsenal, our ineptitude in breaking down their stubborn defence, and in the refereeing which featured a multitude of questionable decisions.
From our perspective, it is a point gained despite the influence of the referee and a Machiavellian performance from a key rival. Trying the same tactic for 45 minutes straight is the strangest of behaviour. For me, Lewis should have started for Walker, but I would also have brought on another midfielder for one of the central defenders when Arsenal surrendered all ambition. By all means, bring on Jack, but don't take off Jeremy, bring him on for a defender! Bernardo, great player though he is, is not a winger.
From a result perspective, Arsenal did what they feel they had to do. From anyone with a love of the beautiful game, they were appalling, but they were allowed to be by a referee who lost control from minute one; let's hope Rodri is okay.
