That’s not a city fan
AbsofuckinlutelySometimes when him Yaya and Silva played was a sight to see .
Ah fair enough I'll give him that. That pissed me off for ages n all.I think he says "you shouldn't have ducked out of that wall you shithouse"
But, yes, Nasri did have some redeeming moments, including that scorcher at wembley etc, but could have been so much more over his time.
I thought Oliver was waiting for an Arsenal runner to graze one of our defenders so he could give a pen. He gave us nothing - we expected it. But as for Taylor, United season ticket holding brothers and all, I actually think he's one of the better and more honest refs - seems to make fewer mistakes than most. But then again, the bar for refs in this country isn't high. Simon Hooper gets stick from some, but he seems to be one of the better ones - not easily influenced by the big personalities. Unfortunately, any refs who seem decent are only seen as the best of a bad bunch.I still find it odd watching a game where I know the referee is dishonest. With Oliver we have seen him in action enough to know exactly what he’s like. He’s not daft, he must know we also know the agenda. In a way I feel sorry for him and Taylor and Twatwell and the other cartel stooges. They have sold their integrity to move up the greasy career pole. Truly shameless.
i liked Nasri. When half the stadium was bleating on about Milner not starting id be like ‘nasri is twice the player’Sometimes when him Yaya and Silva played was a sight to see .
Refs are not biased. If you take a step back and assess that every single team thinks refs give them nothing then maybe you have to conclude that mistakes are made, but they are not intentional there’s certainly no conspiracy.I thought Oliver was waiting for an Arsenal runner to graze one of our defenders so he could give a pen. It was classic Pep - John, Ruben, Kyle, Manuel all planting their feet on the ball beckoning Arsenal to come forward and try and steal the ball off us, counter-intuitive passes to players who were being marked, recycling the ball on one side of the pitch until they lost their shape and switching the ball to the opposite flank. Arsenal were chasing shadows.Still can't get over the win yesterday hahaha. KDB produced arguably the best performance in PL history. Haaland also very complete performance. Grealish cooked Ben White. Gundogan found space between the lines a lot and helped us progress the ball. Akanji kept Saka quiet surprisingly.
The thing which impressed me the most was how we controlled space off-the-ball. Martinelli was only limited to 11 touches and Saka did nothing of note. Best defensive performance of this season for me. I don't even remember Arsenal getting into zone 14 lol.
Pep changed the build-up from 3-2-4-1 to 4-2-4 in this game to have overload and it did wonders. This is the first time we played like this the entire year. Either we had a spare man in back 4 or KDB was free b/w the lines. Pep used De Zerbian principles of baiting the press to then create artificial transitions. We had KDB and Haaland - 2 of the best players EVER in transitions.

Some refs seem to find it harder to do what they think is right when they have players and stadiums screaming at them.It was classic Pep - John, Ruben, Kyle, Manuel all planting their feet on the ball beckoning Arsenal to come forward and try and steal the ball off us, counter-intuitive passes to players who were being marked, recycling the ball on one side of the pitch until they lost their shape and switching the ball to the opposite flank. .......... and the odd long ball to Thor thrown in. Arsenal were chasing shadows.
I was just thinking about that, having rewatched the game and wondering why I was having some before-game fears, I must hold my hands up and say this Manchester City Squad 22/23 is just about the best I have ever watched, We are so strong and every player has their part to play and believe in Pep and the setup,
One player stood out BIG TIME last night In the beliefs in the plan, JACK GREALISH, That running back to help the defence when Saka broke and it was Jack's tackle that stopped the play, it was truly magical to watch, that spoke volumes about what you have to do just to get into this squad, Quality alone is not enough, that desire to work for your teammates and run and run and put that one tackle in is everything this squad is all about,
We are going into games leaving nothing behind on the pitch after the final whistle, you have to drag our players off kicking and fighting tooth and nail, It's like we are not going to take 2nd best against anybody
Imo that is not a penalty or at least shouldn't be. A few years ago I was livid because Liverpool got a penalty for something similar (as far as i remember).Partey takes Kev’s legs out. His leading foot ends up between Kev’s legs, the foot catches Kev’s plant ankle, and Partey’s body goes through Kev, sending him flying as Kev tries to avoid getting his ankle broken. He didn’t play the ball, he was cleaning out Kev.
It’s a foul by Partey anywhere else on the pitch and probably a yellow on top.
