Aspiring to be in Arsenals position doesn't instantly make you their rival Jimi.

We would have loved for years to be in Liverpool's position (many moons ago) yet we were not their rivals because we simply weren't good enough to be.

Ditto Liverpool and Arsenal.

No...but selling your star player to them moves you further away from rivaling them.

In any case - our position is pretty clear, Arsenal can fuck right off. As can Spurs when they get their Bale windfall

Like any club would, I expect you would sell him if the price is right. To either us or Arsenal.

We won't sell him to Arsenal...unlike them, we don't sell our star striker to one of our rivals......think that's the bit that's confusing them.
No, you'd never sell Torres to Chelsea.

Also Arsenal aren't your rivals. Selling Suarez to West Brom would be selling to your rivals.

Selling an out of form player is one thing, selling one in the form of his life is another...and read my previous response you fool - don't sell to what you aspire to be, Arsenal learnt that the hard way with RVP

if you were in the same position as arsenal were with rvp (last year of contract, player stated desire to leave) you'll sell Suarez to anyone for the right price, rival or not

The lewandowski situation tells you that may not be always applicable. Dortmund are keeping him despite all indications by the player that he does not want to be with them and wants to join bayern munich.

as arsenal could have done, but got nothing if rvp still kept to his guns and left the following season

dortmund have just taken the opposite stance, keep him and lose him for nothing next season

if suarez was in his last year he'd be at another club right now

Exactly...point is some players are worth more than a fee. Suarez could be the difference between a top 6 and a top 4 finish. Not saying we'll finish there but world class players are few and far between...

If he stays this whole saga is a nice wakeup call for players and agents - you can't always get what you want

NBC doing a great job of promoting the Premier League in New York City Subway Trains...

I seriously feel that with there current squad that Arsenal could well finish outside the European spot's completely this year as the 3 team below them (Spuds, Neverton and Bindippers) have all strengthened.

Anyone watch them against Galatasaray? ? Didn't think arsenal looked that great and when Drogba and Sneijder came off the bench they tore them to bits. Arsenal were 1 nil up but Drogba got a dodgy pen which he scored and the second goal was an absolute beauty - class ball from Sneijder, awesome first touch for Drogba and then he smashed it in. Drogba looked sharp
