I don't know what the Arsenal fans expect of Giroud.

He had a really awful start but then he clicked and has scored consistently ever since. He isn't in the same league as Kun, Suarez, RVP or Rooney but apart from those four who else in this country produces the goods as often.

Arsenal's problem is Wilshire. The system Arsene has adopted doesn't favour him but he gets picked anyway as Arsene is frightened of losing him. If Arsenal go 4 -5 -1 and they always do;

It has to be Flamini (wish he was at City) and Arteta holding and Carzola, Ozil and Ramsey (Footballer of the year so far) in front.

No place for the very talented Theo there either.

Flamimi was their MOTM today surprised when he took him off

Nah, not having that.

Suarez is on a one man mission to get the best possible move next summer, had he gone to the arse, that wouldn't have been necessary.

Personally don't think Giroud is the problem, its his lack of backup. He looked REALLY tired to me in the second half today.

Our first striker might be as good as your 3rd choice striker, that to me tells its on story, not to mention the limitations and problems that it causes the team.

You used to pay Dennis fucking Bergkamp £50,000 a week whilst we got loans to pay players like Brannan or Pollock.

My heart bleeds.

I wasn't looking for sympathy or bringing up anything to do with money, its just a reality of the situation and shows where we need to improve.

Well so far Remy, Lukaku and Sturridge are all out performing him, he isn't even our top scorer.

It's not that I want any more from Giroud, its that we need an upgrade on him.

I wonder if some here have changed their mind on wanting Walcott to start? Poor performance from Arsenal today and Arsene got the team selection wrong. Should have gone for 3 in midfield from the start. Was a strange game and not the highest quality, though a great watch. Both teams were awful defending. I guess City were complacent that no matter what happened they could outscore their opponent, but Arsenal were slightly lazy/tired and just not focused enough. Pointless for players to jog back slowly. Either you make an effort to run back or you might as well save your energy for the counter. Giroud had a shocking game and could do with a rest.

He's hurting, the poor fellow. I'm sure his soon-to-be-announced 3-year-deal worth £24 million will cheer him up. And he doesn't even have to win so much as a tiny silver teapot to justify that salary. No pressure on the bottle-merchant to achieve anything, the job's practically a sinecure.

Pissing myself laughing at the "We're still ahead of you" comments. Not only does this win dent the Arsenal players confidence it also shows other teams that Arsenal can be got at and will give them more confidence when playing against them.

Sublime at home man city, possibly the best home form in europe, but outstanding sides dont lose to cardiff villa and sunderland and end up possibly 4th in an average league after 15 games. Outstanding sides need to be consistent too.
City may go on to become outstanding, everyone is waiting for them to make the step up and leave the pack behind, but at the moment you cant be below this arsenal side and claim to be outstanding. City fans have become very touchy, but unfortunately, for all their amazing home performances, the table has never lied before.

It won't lie at the end of the season either when you're fighting for 3rd or 4th with Spurs, Everton and the Rags.

Our away form will improve, in fact it is improving. If I was you I'd be more worried about not having a decent striker, a £42M player who goes missing against the better teams, a manager who gets it tactically wrong in the big games and is wasting Walcott, and the fact that your team have a history of being bottlers.
Don't worry about us mate, you've got plenty to be worried about in your own backyard.
