I am not sure if anyone has mentioned this but yesterdays win will mean nothing if we don't beat Fulham next week.

or if we don't win enough games to win the league.

I think that's how it works anyway.

City's recent form since the Sunderland game:

Spurs H Won 6-0
Plzen H Won 4-2
Swansea H Won 3-0
Brom A Won 3-2
Saints A Drew 1-1
Bayern A Won 4-2

Arsenal H Thrashed 6-3

Now, if we talk about form we talk about it in the present, not what has been. It's clear to me that our form is on a steady rise and the signs are very good indeed.

Bring it on.

Puts it into perspective..

Its amazing how Manchester city fans seem to hate arsenal but the feeling isnt reciprocated by gooners. City fans are seen as more deserved of their success because they suffered for so long, and city as a club are seen as a lesser of all the other evils. I guess this will change when city fans stop feeling lucky and start feeling entitled, which is whats happening now.
I remember going into a pub outside the emirates after we beat stoke 3-1 earlier this season, reason I went in was the loud cheers I was hearing, I see city 3 united 0 on the big screen and everyone dancing about in their arsenal shirts.
Maybe "hating" arsenal is what other big clubs do so this is just manchester city fans assuming their position to create a rivalry that doesnt really exist.
The other thing I find significant on the forum in general, is how manchester city fans are always looking for reactions to their wins, theyve just stuck 6 past us playing swashbuckling football and its as if they want validation from the press, wenger, arsenal fans. They need to understand that they will never get that, and they should not be looking for that. Just enjoy being the best and know that it irks everyone else. When we didnt lose a game all season the press were still having a go at us for not winning the treble. Other managers and other fans will never laud your achievements, but they all would love to swap teams with you. I know I would.

Your away form is improving but you need to keep it up. starting at fulham and then swansea after that.

We just hate arrogant cockneys mate. Don't take it personally

West Ham are the only cockneys who seem grounded and down to earth.

I've always had lots I respect for Arsenal and was very happy when you won the league. But in my experience it's Arsenal fans who have seemed to turn on us since we become successful.

An Arsenal fan talking about City fans having a sense of entitlement, oh the irony.

We only hate Man Utd mate, we are just fed up of the bitterness that comes our way from North London about 'earning' what you have and constant references to money and luck on our behalf and belittling us as not being a 'proper' football club.

I do agree we seek validation from the press and other fans far too much these days, i guess years of being everyone's favourite second team (due to being in Trafford's shadow for so long) and that suddenly going has effected some, we need a thicker skin. However, in some minds the bile thrown our way is only being returned in kind.

we're not looking for reactions..we are looking for the respect our team deserves when playing well..ffs we beat Bayern away and the witch hunt began, the main talk was about Pellegrini getting it wrong and how finishing 2nd would be really bad for us..

Arsenal finished 2nd too...where was the Wenger witch hunt ??

All we want is a level playing field as far as the press are concerned..

This is what vexes us...

Thought arsene was a bit stupid saying that. Was just upset to lose so maybe just heat of the moment their.

funny how he sees all the things that go against him but never sees the incidents where his players should be sent off!!

I admit he is a very bad loser. Never good to see and can be ungracious at times. One bad sign to him. But he is a winner and you don,t get like that and be a good loser.

But i admit he was bit bitter after the match yesterday. comparing city to everton and southampton was dumb really.

wenger is one bitter misrable fucking ****.

and thats when they win.

Exactly. Banging on about doing things the right way doesn't help. Arsenal haven't got a ''whiter than white history'' if I remember; isn't there something distinctly iffy about their past re. illegal payments? Instead of carping on about us how about them looking after their own interests?

He a very charming man off the pitch when away from football but in interviews he holds a lot back to be fair in terms of his personality. i think after last few years very wary of media.
