Even though Arse0 were one of the letter writers, I find it difficult to hate them like I do the rags and dippers.
They''ve never been a particularly dirty team and have contributed good players who have helped us on the way to where we are now.
(e.g Nasri, Sagna, Viera, Seaman..)
The infamous letter is water under the bridge for me, forgiven but not forgotten.
If they do win the P.L. title I don't see them gloating like other clubs (who do not need naming) would and they will have achieved it because they were better than us over the season.
So good luck to them in the forthcoming fixtures, it will be quite a fight I am sure.
May the best team win and hopefully that will be us!

I still reckon we'll win the league, to be honest. I know they haven't yet but Arsenal will fall away eventually, and they are the only team posing a real threat to us.

I have every faith it'll be us lifting the league title again.

Don't know, Jack like myself has been on here for years, Jack for 5, me for nearly 10. And can't say we joined to Wum, because we've been mostly shite where you've been mostly great.

Has Arteta mainly stuck with a similar line up so far this season? or does he chop and change for fun?

I always remember how bitter their fans and manager were towards us when we started pinching their players and finishing above them. The adebayor celebration a case in point. They were fucking twats and I fully expect them to become this again once they grow some balls and admit they are challenging us

Yeah, me too, I look upon an Arse title as one that denies Rags 'n Dippers. If not us then anyone bar those two shitehawk clubs.

Mainly stuck with the same line up mate, if fit and available. The first XI sort of picks itself, Ramsdale, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko, Partey, Xhaka, Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Jesus. He's rotated a fair bit in the Europa as we could afford to do that and still qualify out the group, but he did so again in the league cup and Brighton put us out, which points to 1 of the worries everyone has about Arsenal and that's lack of quality depth on key areas, like replacements for Partey and Jesus.

I can understand why City fans still feel like that, I certainly don't think the club and fans surrounded themselves in glory in that period, we had seen Chelsea come and take our place, and City were about to do the same at a time where we were struggling to spend and the club seemed to have a bit of an identity crisis and seemed desperate to hold its place and stay relevant. There was jealousy and resentment because City owners were doing what Arsenal owners weren't, and that was investing properly in the team and our owners weren't. I think we became all too focused on trying to remain a big club, the pressure was building on Wenger and the owners, and this was affecting our decision making which was looking desperate, buying Aubameyang 6 months after Lacazette, not selling Sanchez to you guys and keeping Ozil etc.

We needed a proper reset and structure change just to find ourselves as a club again, and thankfully it looks like we are on the right road to finally do that. Long way to go but apparently there's been a positive atmosphere building around the place for a couple of years now, so its heading in the right direction at least.

Personally, I have a lot of respect for City. I've had a soft spot all through the Oasis years in the 90's, even owned a City Kappa top. I'm not an Arsenal match going fan as I live in Scotland but my son hasnt been to The Emirates yet but has been to a game at The Etihad when we were in Manchester for a weekend and we were given some good info on here about tickets and that for him and he loved it, everyone was super friendly with him.

As i suspected, thanks for the clarification.

Fuck Arsenal. Just another red shirt shit team who should be held with the same distain we hold the rags/dips. Wenger started the financial doping narrative and they were one of the main driving forcing behind FFP and the attack from Uefa.

Sorry blues, Arsenal can fuck off.

Arteta isn't Wenger....

Arteta isn't Wenger....
And?

Anything they win will mean we possibly don’t!

Arteta has always been very complimentary about City. However, he wouldn’t have gotten the arsenal job without undergoing pep training. So he would be a total prick not to acknowledge that.

That does not override the hate they have for city as a club and are part of the reason why we are slandered in the media.

So yeah, fuck Arsenal.

This 100%. Prefer them to win over Victim FC or Rags, but still, fuck them.

Anybody know what are the 'personal reasons' behind Ben White's return to the UK from Qatar?

I assume a bearevement, sadly.

At the same time as taking plenty of our money - we virtually paid for that stadium

Thats if its true. Most reports say he will be out for a month.

Even still, I think he will be hard for Mudaryk, and if we get him which we may, given there will be extra motivation, I anticipate Martinelli could be used centrally. Saka, Mudaryk, Martinelli front three can be an option

Jesus will be a loss for sure. But its not like we rely on him for goals. Our goals have been pretty evenly distributed across Saka, Martinelli, Odegaard, Xhaka, Jesus with the two big centre halfs Saliba and Gabriel pitching in with two each. Jesus hasnt scored since Brentford in game week 7 and we have been fine as far as results and goal threat.

Rival fans again underestimating Arsenal. So if your shocked and stunned by our start to the season, take this advice - there is every chance we continue to perform at a high level picking up results even without Jesus

Like I said, Mudaryk if we sign him can be an option with Martinelli central. Smith Rowe will return and he can play on the left with Martinelli central. Nketiah is an underrated player who offers more directness than Jesus as a classic centre forward.

'Will Arsenal collapse without HeyZues' is such a Gary Neville cliche.

Don’t know any City fans too shocked by your start. You’ve tried to copy us don’t blame you. Arteta is a clone and has learnt well. But Pep is the master.

Thats right. Man City invented a brand of football that has been taught at Barcelona for decades. Although as good as the football is at City, still falls well short of what Barcelona offered up when they were at thier peak.

Arteta also spent more time with Wenger and at Arsenal. Seems anyone good whoever spent anytime at City no matter how short, gets claimed as a Citizen.

You guys still consider Patrick Vieira one of your own, dont you?
