At this point I don’t think we can look any further than the gooners. Yes, they haven’t been as rampant as us but they are top of the table and you are always where you deserve to be IMO in the league. They have just beaten Spurs and Liverpool in succession, so if they aren’t contenders, who are?
Agreed. They need to be taken seriously. They’ve been on the up ever since that disastrous start to last season, apart from a bit of a meltdown in the last few games of that campaign.

Ha, I'd be talking it down as well if I was in your position. But you're probably right, but until you drop points you're top of the league and we are moving beyond early season form now!

I’ve been around too long to expect too much. I’d be happy if we clinch top 4. Happier still if Spurs fail to do the same. Happiness comes from not expecting too much but I am excited by our early season form…and why shouldn’t I be?

You'll be top 4.
Bad news: Spurs will be as well, they're getting wins even when the cunts are shit.
Good news: Rags won't be.

From my perspective, I’d ideally prefer neither Spurs or Man U in the top 4 but no way would I see Spurs over Man U ideal in any way whatsoever. I want Spurs outside top 6, or better, bottom half and ultimately best of all, relegated.

Ideally they'd both get fucking relegated along with the bin dippers.

I agree with that. It's going to be an odd season with the World Cup break, and injuries could play a major part. It could be a very good season for one of the outsiders, and Arsenal look the most likely at this stage.

Hands up all those who thought Leicester were going to crumble 6 years ago.
To be fair, Leicester only got 81 points when they won the league.

To win the league this season the winners will have to get around 95 points. That’s a big ask for Arsenal.

The World Cup is the big factor though like you say. Could fuck up our season. For all we know half our squad might come back and need the entire Christmas period off to recover or come back injured.

I wonder if superfan Alan Davies will question the integrity of refereeing for the next six months after that dodgy penalty today, like he did on new years day at the Emirates after a very similar decision.
