That was down to our £100m number 2 keeper. Sheik’s money did it again. They also shit the nest when Son was right through and missed.lol.
I lived in Wimbledon where the local team was not so high powered. Not very cockney out there, more ‘come on Tim’. My mate and I went into a bar and asked: “Has Tarquin been in?” The barman said: “No, I’ve not seen him.”...and also that they WILL be better because of all these new players, never that he would EXPECT that they COULD be better IF the payers gel. Does my head in too.
Cockney mentality mate, they put over confidence drugs in their water as well as all the limescale. Lived down there (literally where their new stadium is just down from the Michael Sobell sports centre) for a decade and they're all like that.
Also, doesn't he get injured when you breathe on him? They've managed to prise 34m out of Fulham for Smith-Rowe. He's an okay-ish player, I guess. But 34m? Seriously? I think Fulham have had their pants pulled down there.
That's Stones, innit? Also, doesn't he get injured when you breathe on him?
Touche.That's Stones, innit?
Not when he's playing for EnglandThat's Stones, innit?
As Sparky would say; obviously. Not when he's playing for England
I know there might be a bit of a home grown English tax but holy crap if Smith Rose is valued at 34 million what’s Alvarez worth??They've managed to prise 34m out of Fulham for Smith-Rowe. He's an okay-ish player, I guess. But 34m? Seriously? I think Fulham have had their pants pulled down there.
It's a fair point re the HG tax. But even allowing for that, it's crazy money. If he doesn't hit the ground running, Marco will be under pressure.I know there might be a bit of a home grown English tax but holy crap if Smith Rose is valued at 34 million what’s Alvarez worth??
It's an unbelievable bit of business for Arsenal particularly as there's a 15% sell on. Plus as ESR came through the academy it's all booked as pure profit. It's a fair point re the HG tax. I think it’s similar to us that we have some brilliant fringe players who just won’t get the game time. It's an unbelievable bit of business for Arsenal particularly as there's a 15% sell on. Plus as ESR came through the academy it's all booked as pure profit.
In a way the Cole Palmer situation helped us, I really can’t see City ever making that same mistake again.I think it’s similar to us that we have some brilliant fringe players who just won’t get the game time.
I’m worried that Oscar will get pissed off with half a dozen appearances and look to move on.
I’m really hoping he gets enough minutes of pep but how much would he be worth right now?
To be fair to the slimey rag, these cockneys need to stick together.I won’t repost it here… but Simon Stones has written the most cringeworthy sycophantic article on a team I’ve ever read on the BBC site. He’s gone full Gooner. Clearly things are as bad as we hoped at United.
Oscar Bobb? He'd be worth absolutely loads, his ceiling is high.I think it’s similar to us that we have some brilliant fringe players who just won’t get the game time.

His journalism is garbage though. He's referred to us signing 'Italy forward Riccardo Calafiori' and 'defender Merino' which tells me his research skills aren't exactly top notch.I won’t repost it here… but Simon Stones has written the most cringeworthy sycophantic article on a team I’ve ever read on the BBC site. Merino could help the Arse ram home their advantage over Littlewoods.Arsenal's gonna be a threat, no doubt. I dont think they will be favourites over us, but Calafiori and Merino is smart business.
Merino may be a little under the radar, he has great experience and solid numbers. Arsenal's weakest position is arguably 8 and i would say similarly to us (Kovacic been very good but he aint Gundogan, particularly attacking wise). Havertz is more useful up front, lacks vision and skill to be a world class playmaker. Curious to see whether it will be Merino there or Rice shifted forward.
His main issue was that he was pretty shite and overhypedOscar Bobb? He'd be worth absolutely loads, his ceiling is high.
Re ESR his main issue was injuries. He could never nail down a run in the side as he was always getting groin injuries.
