I remember when Joelinton when two hands into Gabriel at St James park last season. Gabriel was told he 'needed to be stronger'.

I also remeber when we had Hleb, Rosicky, Fabregas, Arshavin, Nasri ect - all nimble footballers with a slight body frame, everyone loved it when Stoke would body us. Now we have a massive team in terms of height and strength, and when we throw our weight around in the box, rival fans are now running to the referee saying we are too physical inside the box. 'Ref Ref Ref', 'Arsenal dark arts' ect.

Will be interesting to see if the league tries to make the PL more like La Liga to negate our physicality - I think a letter was written to the PL about our corner routine. All because we are scoring from corners. Shame there wasnt this concern about physicality when Eduardo and Ramsey were being sent to the emergency room in an oxygen mask.

Salah was missing for a large chunk of last season through afcon and injury and Liverpool actually went through their strongest period of the season. Weirdly the drop off occurred when a lot of the big hitters came back into the side.

Liverpool's surprise player for me is McAllister. he does make that midfield tick...tbf Dick Van Dyke looks so much better under Slott. Slott is also...way way better than Klopp shop...so Liverpool's to lose i think

Eduardo was a complete accident. As for your statement about tactics, you are basically a Pulis or Allardyce team with more expensive players.

One that's also scored the (joint) 2nd most goals in the PL despite having its most creative player out for half the matches and being down to 10 men for the equivalent of 2 full matches of the 13 played.

Any yellow cards being dished out for delaying the restart? No matter how trivial. Both the Rice and Trossard red cards were comical, but the Rice one really winds me up. Rice has his back to the player and he gets kicked above the shin. The Brighton player made no good faith effort to take a quick free kick, he just made sure he kicked Rice. Yet apparently we are masters of the dark arts and we inflict dark arts on the rest of the league.

I'm afraid I think it's a very long shot for Arsenal to make up nine points on Liverpool (and in fact it has to be ten, I don't actually see Arsenal bettering their goal difference). Liverpool are just on one of those rolls this season. Like 2019-20. Just bloody hope they don't reach our 100 points. Now that would annoy me.
