Arsenal v City post match thread

Should have made our domination of the first half count but, with the exception of their goal build up, we defended ok second half. Their game second half was quite similar to how we play, so you can see how effective it is when it works. A 6-3 and a 1-1 ain't that bad overall.

Weird watching their fans putting so much in to this fixture, realistically their title bid is well over and they must know that unless one of us, Liverpool or Chelsea go on a run of losing 3 of the remaining seven or eight then they are fourth, season over pretty much after Everton next week. Remember when we used to expect a mauling off this lot not so long ago, so its a compliment to where we are now to see them celebrating a home draw like a cup final.

For us we need to move on, beat Southampton, and to be honest a draw against Liverpool is probably then acceptable if we can then bring back Aguero and utilize two forwards at a time against the likes of Palace, Sunderland and West Brom.

I wouldn't start worrying about the dippers just yet. There's a small matter of southampton to deal with first. We've struggled plenty against them since they got promoted. it isn't gonna happen itself the players need to make it happen. 2 points dropped for me!
Great point Southampton will be a tough tough game.

Taking Navas of was a mistake Nasri should of come of instead but good point seeing we weren't at our best

it was strange decision, Milner is much better on the left side and Navas was much better than Nasri.
Navas was just less shit, for lack of a better term. They both should have been off at the same time.

Was disappointed Jovetic didn't replace one of them

Great point today. Shame about the efforts from a couple of players (Nasri & Yaya), but aside from that I see it as a point gained at this stage of the season...

I'll take a point. Team was flat the second half and risking the wrath of a certain section of the forum, I was very disappointed with the lack of thread from Dzeko.

Theres a massive thread on Dzeko

If that was Real, Bayern or Barca they would have battered Arsenal today. Truth is were miles behind them, Arsenal were without their 5 best players today and we created absolutely nothing. Winning today would have wrapped up the title, so gutted.

So much shite in that post it is difficult to know where to start.
Ok Mr genius.

Can't help but think it's a huge chance missed. Never got going 2nd half

Indeed, a win would have meant we could still lose 6 points and still win the league, even if Chelsea and Liverpool won every game.

I don't see us dropping more than 6 points from here on in so this game could have been the day we look back on where we won the league.

We have let Chelsea off after todays result and let Arsenal back in the race.

It's looking like a weekly occassion now that it seems written in the starts that Liverpool are going to win it.
We still gained a point on Chelsea and Arse are hardly in the race, being 3 points behind us and we still have 2 games in hand on them.

Im loving all the positivity in this thread.... all im saying is football games are made to be played..and we decided it was the time no, not tonight...

not in a million years the bin dippers will walk that Spuds are truly awful

i supose you had chelsea down for the 3 points today in your predictions

Suarez and Sturridge against Spuds back 4 - foregone conclusion.

The pressure is on for them now, they were lucky against Sunderland this week. What everyone forgets with Liverpool is that no matter what happens to us at Anfield, Chelsea can sort that out for us a couple of weeks later. If Liverpool beat us and then beat Chelsea and win all their other games then fair enough they probably deserve to win the league anyway...

4 points out of 2 very difficult away matches

Would have took this last week but a second gosk in the first half would have sealed the game.

Shame Dean shit out and booked us if we farted but that Rocky get away with staying on the pitch.

Dippers so far have had a good weekend but the pressure may get to them.
