I'm a strong critic of the atmosphere and our sit expectantly fans. No-one could complain about that last night, particularly first half. Nice that very few left early despite the potential transport problems. Good all round.
If you leave and don't enjoy games like that last night, mayhap football's not for you.
Sat night at 8.00 pm - something unusual stirs up fans...i think evening games in general are better - most big matches around Europe are played in the evening - i think it just makes it a better occasion. My worry is that we have people leaving a good 10 mins b4 90 mins is up on Sat afternoons - imagine what it could look like with 15 mins of extra time....get ready for the pelters...or we need to chain of the aisle not letting any f ker out

are we dr
It's a dilemma for the early leavers now. Leave on 80-85 mins and you'll possibly miss 20 mins of footy.
dreading a 3:0 up coast on sat afternoon v a side in bottom 10...80 mins = fire exit then 10 + mins of ET...half the ground gone - oppos fans flick on, laugh as usual. whole sorry affair begins again when in reality we have always had a very loyal and sizeable core - looks woeful when people leave early though, and many oppos fans flick on to see the score etc. and it just perpetuates the myth that we can't fill our stadium, no fans etc..when clearly the stats say different.

Im in SS3 this season. I was SS2 then East stand then CB stand. Loved the atmosphere in L3 on sat. But one thing I noticed is you can't tell who else is singing whilst ur up there unless the whole stadium is up and singing. Whilst in East and CB you can see how disjointed the the singing can become. With stands singing at diff times. Thats where it feels sometimes that atmosphere is flat, where in fact certain parts of the ground you won't feel that as they could be singing all game. Our sections are too separate. Hopefully the NS will change that. Our atmosphere matches any in the world, it’s a shame the design of stands sometimes makes it not as loud as it really is.
In general these modern bowl style stadiums are very poor for atmosphere retention they often all seems dead echoey and a jumble of noise as it takes a long time for songs to travel around the huge bowls. Whereas the older stadiums are more compact and seem to trap the sound in better.

However, the design of SSL3 has squared off that end instead of it being a bowl, and the rest of the ground in the other three stands can hear SSL3 loud and clear because of that roof.

It’s a great design in terms of atmosphere (whether that was by design or by coïncidence, I don’t know) and I hope we get it right up the other end and group everyone together from the separate areas that sing and individuals that sing in quiet areas, all in the new NSL2, and the sound bounces out as one voice over there.

The new North Stand does also look like it’s going to box off that end and with the shape of the roof and the steeper walls at either side of NSL2, it should project the atmosphere really well.

Can’t wait to move there!

I honestly think if we get all our singers together in NSL2, we’ll have the best atmosphere in the league.

Yeah got to say L3 sounded very loud on Sat. As for the Mags it felt like they only sang the last 10 mins up there.

I hope the club approach the canvassing of this appropriately. It's going to be a mammoth task uprooting family members in the North Stand but I feel it is vital to our support that this end becomes a singing end. Get the majority of the 1894 Group and blocks 110, 111, 115-118, 215-218, 315-318 relocated into this new stand. All of us in these blocks should be given first dibs on relocating here in my opinion. There are still statues where I sit in 217, that's their prerogative but we need all loud blues moving into one area, it's been apparent for 20 years.
